  • Welcome to my latest DJ gig log at The Amber Room in Danbury, CT! This corporate event provided the perfect opportunity for me to try out some exciting changes and see how they panned out. Join me as I take you through the night and share my thoughts on the equipment and setup.
    One notable change I made for this gig was swapping out my trusted EV ELX200 12P and 18SP combo for the RCF EVOX12. While the RCF performed well, I couldn't help but miss the powerful rumble of the 18-inch bass from the 18SP. It's always interesting to experiment with different setups and compare their impact on the overall experience.
    During the event, I encountered a minor issue with the RCF tops on the poles, as they kept spinning and unintentionally directed the audience to one side of the dance floor. Despite this hurdle, the packed dance floor and the enthusiasm of the crowd kept the energy high throughout the night.
    Not only did I change the sound setup, but I also decided to revamp the visual aesthetics. I showcased my custom booth sitting atop my rockville totem, featuring a sleek black scrim instead of the usual white one. This new look added a touch of elegance and sophistication to the atmosphere.
    To enhance the ambiance further, I incorporated six LED battery-operated bar lights that I had previously featured and demonstrated on my channel. As expected, these lights proved to be incredibly bright and effective, creating a vibrant and dynamic dance floor environment. However, I did find that the sound mode was a bit overpowering for this particular event, and it's important to find the right balance between audio and visual elements. These lights would work best at a prom, bar or any event requiring high energy.
    Overall, this gig was a great success, with a packed dance floor and satisfied customers. I'm constantly learning and adapting to create unforgettable experiences for my audience. Join me in this DJ gig log as we dive into the details and immerse ourselves in the electrifying atmosphere of The Amber Room.
    Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe to my channel for more DJ gig logs, equipment reviews, and exciting updates from the world of DJing. Stay tuned for more thrilling adventures and stay connected for the latest updates from my future gigs!

    Nice setup bro. I have a pair of those lights, and they are too bright for most of my gigs. actually got complaints from some of the old timers 😁. I made some shows in sound switch for them and they're super cool with all of the options and control available.

    • @lavishlifedjs
      @lavishlifedjs  Год назад +1

      They are super bright…I have ape labs sticks that seem to work much better for what I need them do.
      Soundswitch or something similar seems like the way to go with these lights…you have videos of shows with these ?

    • @djhighscore
      @djhighscore Год назад

      @@lavishlifedjs nah I don't have any videos of them. I'll take some videos next time I take them out. ape labs sound mode seems like the best route for ease of use and still having a good looking light show.

    Cool Setup!!! I've been following your gig log for quite some time quite impressive. Every time I see that you post something new, do you have a question about two months ago you have posted a gig log on a set of lights that I've noticed that you do not use anymore, I was going to purchase some just because I watch your show and your set up was quite impressed with the way the lights function in the weather, lights luck, but I want your personal opinion since I have not seen them being used by you for some time now, is it worth the investment, I have reached out to the company, I am ready to purchase, but I wanted to see a few more of your gig logs with the lights being used, but it seems to me you have moved away from them. Can you give me some pointers, your thoughts, your review after two months ago, and is the light worth purchasing. Now, they were on this particular gig log Please let me know your thoughts.
