Impressive that it managed to take off on one engine. Engine was working overtime on that one.
Probably over designed for those 'oh fuck' moments.
@@BurninBogey7 - oh yeah absolutely. I mean having an engine go down mid flight is a bit more manageable when the heavy lifting has already been done. But this was obviously a test so they definitely wouldn’t have tried it if it couldn’t be done. Impressive none the less. 🤙
I mean, it's pretty much required to be able to take off on 1 engine...
The real question is, was it empty? People, luggage, and full fuel load would make a difference I'm sure.
Flying jets is a risk laden endeavor. It's only safe because engineers, dispatchers, mechanics, pilots, load planners etc. make sure it's as safe as can be. The loss of an engine at the most critical time in a takeoff run, at max allowable weight, is a situation that must succeed. Success in the event of a failure is the moto.
Still has a better climb rate than the a340-300
Ah. The most underpowered aircraft in the world. I agree
It isn't under-powered, it is thrust challenged ha ha!
Dont say that. ,am gonna fly in a340_300 tomorrow
@@almostfamous9944 It only gets scary at MTOW. If it isn't fully loaded it's better. They are actually a fast plane
🤣🤣best comment ive read today...
A350 is definitely one of my favorite aircrafts, that 1 engine takeoff was very impressive
Luckily no one was injured.
Regulation requires two engine commercial aircrafts that can cross over ocean to be capable of climbing with only one of them. They are designed to be capable to provide sufficient thrust as redundancy
@@FlorenceSlugcat also required for takeoff safety. If an engine failure occurs during takeoff, the remaining engine needs to be able to complete the takeoff.
@@guenthermichaels5303 yep
The a380 looks as big as a doggone 747!
I did not realize you could take off with only one engine! Technology is amazing!
If you have a bird strike or mechanical in one engine after a specific speed, called V1, you have to take off. It’s calculated each time based on a bunch of factors like the length of the runway, the density altitude, wind, weight, etc.
Luckily no one was injured
If you just have enough runway, you can!
That is why you are subject to weight limits on aircraft, the take off weight is the weight it can take off with the failure of the critical engine at the critical moment which is usually around rotation.
This depends on air density (temperature and pressure) and runway available and the climb path available airborne.
That is actually a requirement that the plane can take off with one engine.
2:32 it was so smooth that even the tires vere like "are we supposed to smoke?"
Super smooth, yeah, but they didn't smoke because the runway was wet.
Luckily no one was injured
Angry Ryanair noises.
I am currently eating honey roasted peanuts
LOL
hehe
Yum
You should try the honey bbq
Cool
I love the sound of the engines spooling up for a go-around
Awsome
It's scary onboard
There's nothing better than a seamless landing when all conditions are nominal! That finnish air landing was smoooooth!
they really finished their job.
2:23 that throttle transition sound was naughty
0:50 this was a test flight. I think you can see its factory registration
He said it
@@airbus_a320neo he didn't, he said test flight to the A350 before
Airbus is very sharp. Loved that awesome buzzsaw tune coming from that A380. Music to my ears.
@BB49 🤗🤗🙂
That was the creamiest landing by a pilot I have ever seen. Good job Finnair!
creamy? 🤨🤨
Buttering the bread.
2:39 butter
Someone likes Airbus clearly
Gotta take the videos you can get. Next one might be loaded with Boeings.
That A350 landing reminds me of my last landing in a 172, I touched down so smooth that I didn't realize I was fully on the ground. I heard the chirp of the tires but thought I just kissed the tires while still in ground effect.
impressive!
So nice to see videos of perfect landings!
Luckily no one was injured
Notice the rudder compensation on that first clip
Yeah I was trying to figure out which engine was out by looking at the rudder lol
Right was out I am pretty sure. You can see the exhaust from the right as if it’s at idle.
Luckily no one was injured
The second Clip of the A380 going around wasn't because it was a late touchdown. It was a Testflight at the Airbus Factory in Hamburg Germany, it was a touch and go.
Black Hawk was checking out the parking charges before he touched down 🤣
Luckily no one was injured
The first A350 pilot demonstrates perfectly how to control climb out on one engine. Notice he lowers the nose to keep up airspeed. You have to forget normal flight characteristics and be gentle with the plane.
Luckily no one was injured
no problem .... To certify an aeronautical engine, it has to be able to lift the plane to its maximum weight using only 60% of its power!
@@dancemaniaco I forgot those engine out flight performance numbers. It shows how smartly they match engine to airplane..
I was finally ablet to download the latest Microsoft Flight Sim update and try my hand at helicopters. Turns out they're not as easy to fly as Grand Theft Auto makes it seem.
Take your hat off for those A 380 pilots. 👍
💯
Luckily no one was injured
@@mattafakkah man you gotta stop copy-pasting it's not funny
Every single airliner can take off with one engine. Every single time we run the numbers for a take off, it’s worst case, that we lose an engine after calling V1. Every time you see an aircraft rolling on the runway, it’s because those numbers have been crunched and it’s capable of departing on a single engine and still climbing over any obstacles.
Me thinking the whole time with the black hawk:
NOT THE LIGHTS DONT HIT THE LIGHTS 😂😅
Same
Me thought why are people standing around just like clipped rotor fragments can't hurt them
The lights were fine. They were highly visible and uniformly placed. It’s the objects you don’t see that are always the big risk with confined landings.
@@MeppyMan the thing is he was REALLY close and doing something normal helicopter pilots won’t/can’t
1 little mistake and he would’ve turned the poles and his blades in toothpicks
Luckily no one was injured
The way he said "half" at the start of the video 🤣
Umm… weren't most of these in the last video from "3 Minutes of Aviation"? I remember at least the Emirates floating, the Black Hawk, the unstable Lufthansa landing - all posted days ago on this other channel. Surely there are enough aviation videos online to not have to do this? One clip I get, but with this many in a row it's hard to believe it's a coincidence.
The A380 go around was a test flight as it still had french registration on an Emirates livery
Regulations require airliners to be able to takeoff with one engine after V1 speed and to meet minimum climb gradients. Note when one of two engines fails you lose 50% of your power but you lose more than 50% of your climb performance.
i love staying up to date on these!!!!
Gotta love finnairs smooth landings
Two last planes were both finnish. The hornet was a FAF demonstrator, possibly the same one who won the world championship recently.
torille.
Torille
Notice the strong left rudder on the first video.
10/10 for the pilots‘s skills
2:46 , impressive
2:33 Finnair is just a Ryanair's better brother
Thank you for sharing.
2:20 ooo I LOVED that A380 engine spool up roar
Dang. That Blackhawk. I was waiting for it to cut the top off at least one of the lamp poles.
Luckily no one was injured
Great video!
Great vids, Lucass.
I can't believe another week without a thrilling Aerosucre chaotic takeoff.
Those A380s just didn't want to land.
3:35 ... just had to chuckle 😎Cheers!
Love it! Thanks for another great video, keep the grind up ❤
Amazing!
Was on a KLM flight into Schiphol last week on an E190 and the pilot absolutely buttered the landing. Smoothest I've ever been on.
Luckily no one was injured
Love that a380 grind
Very nice.
BEAUTIFUL
I have a warm towel on my face drinking champagne out of a plastic wine glass.
1:42 average day in gta online
Impressive !!
Great video brother from the imperial co California.
Very Nice Bro! Get Good People/Pilots!
awesome
2:35 Finnair ofc
For a second i though that super smooth landing was a Ryanair then i read it properly, now it makes sense lol
That A350 made it look easy! 😎
Jeez…..u see that rudder authority on that a350?
That single engine takeoff was unnerving to watch, with that steep angle of attack. So close to stall.
I'd like to know how heavily loaded that a350 was for the test
Nice take off.
This is normal testing. Most dangerous time to have an engine failure is during takeoff phase. If the plane passes V1 , procedure is to continue takeoff on one engine, because there is not enough runway left to safely abort the takeoff. Once airplane achieves 400ft alt. The pilot can assess situation. If an engine fails before V1, procedure is to abort takeoff, because there is enough runway left to safely bring airplane to a stop.
Parking lot landing was awesome!
Luckily no one was injured
@@mattafakkah Do you say that to everyone's comments or are you trolling me yet again?
@@Themilkmanskid. No just sayin'...That as a dangerous landing
@@mattafakkah I was just sayin' too.
I would imagine that the non thrusting engine was still running ready to add thrust at a moments notice.
That was super smooth despite being in Amsterdam
Pilot is going to take off with one engine? With people on board? He knew he only had one engine? With people on board? Your FIRED!!!!.
I need to get back studying.... I'm been hopping from one app to the other...for 5 hours now
Hell, my ol T-Bird did that lol!!...
Finnair is known for smooth landings. I fly about 100x times per year for work and really noticed it too
0:18 looks like an aerosucre takeoff with both engines
Pesadão também no começo!!!
Reruns!!
Nice
2:20 That Sound tho! 😍
*WOW that A350 took off 5x better than ANY fully-functioning Aerosucre plane that's ever flown* 🤣
I like this
Takes off like a typical 787 😂
0:11 This is literally the A340-300 when it is at MTOW
Agreed. It is scary
Lesson 101 - Single engine takeoff practice is most certainly testing to see how it would perform for, say if an engine failed as it achieved V1, in which the takeoff can no longer be safely aborted.
That A350 isn't struggling at all... Modern engineering is an absolute marvel
2:00 aw, come on. Ryanair would've just put it down
That one engine take off looked scary. With a full load it would be worrying
There’s a healer pad at one of our local hospitals that is also a parking lot. Weirdest thing I ever saw.
Lot of airbus clips today.
00:00 That's my hometown 🤩
I am watching does while taking a dump😊
Just taking off very heavy.
The A350 in the opening had a "simulated" engine failure, as a part of training or testing, as specified in other places using this video.
It's mandatory for a twin engine jet to be able to take off with one engine just incase it loses an engine after passing V1 because at that point it's not safe to reject the take off.
The A350 was foxing a bit as full power on the one engine was not initially set. You can hear it spool up later when in the air! Lol
Only OG's know this was reposted
2:32 this guy can forget all his dreams of ever working at ryanair. They would never hire him
It’s a bad day to be an ILS antenna
when i saw the air part in the smooth landing clip, i thought i said Ryanair for a sec, then i noticed that it saif Finnair. it was all too good to be true
GE90-115B: "Hold My Beer"
That Finnair airplane is Ryanair pilots landing on an alternate universe...😂😂😂
Talk about a wing and a prayer.
A350 struggling to climb with only one engine...?
*Laughs in Aerosucre*
Saw all of the videos somewhere but I don't remember where
test pilots have balls of steel.
