I've just been gifted this machine from my husbands nanna who passed away a few months ago and i've never touched a sewing machine in my life. thanks so much for your video.
Hello Thank you for taking us through the machine. It helped me alot. However i need help with a problem that has occured. The upper thread has been stucking on the bobbin holder/ feeder, hence it can't sew. Can't even make a single stitch. The thread stucks and it shows Lo at the screen display. Thank you. Hope to hear from you soon.
I had the same problem as I use it late at night when others are in bed, doing applique or lettering where changing stiches all the time was a problem due to the loud beep. I went in and did a hardware modification as shown in the video ruclips.net/video/j3Y21QCCYvE/видео.html but this would void your warranty and I really couldn't recommend it, unless you are used to taking consumer electronics apart as the case is tricky to spit open.
I just wanted to know how to thread the top as the manual is confusing. Its the only thing you didn't show which is surprising for a basics tutorial video. But thanks for showing the rest.
My intention has been to do a series of more detailed videos going into detail on the individual parts of the video. I guess I really need to do that now this video is getting views 🙂
@@DotNetWorker please do. I just bought mine and I am a real beginner. I really want to know how to sew and how to use the threading designs. You are my only hope.
@@DotNetWorker ...Thank you for the reply. I edited the comment before seeing your reply, but I also wanted to ask, how is the machine still working over a year after this video was posted?
It gets moderate use and has been oiled and cleaned regularly, quick and easy to do. Apart from tightening a screw in the bobbin holder, it's been fine. It's good value for money at this price but obviously isn't a Brother for example, just set your expectations appropriate to the price point.
I have the necchi mp200 which is the save machine and its a piece of crap. The Feed dogs crease to work so no good at all. Wouldn't touch one with a badge pole unless also customer service is better that Necchi
Does she know how to get the feed dogs to work correctly. Mine do not come back up once theyve been put down for freehand embroidery and been switched over to the up position. Personally I think this is why Necchi got rid of their extra stock as it's a common problem in the Necchi MP200 but no one knows how to correct it
@@DotNetWorker but it doesn't! If it was that easy they would have popped back up when I started to try and sew. They've been stuck in the down position for ages now. It's a useless piece of rubbish and from what others have said, it's a common problem.
@@denisedavies3575 have you tried turning the hand wheel toward you rght after putting the feed dog switch back to "up"? That's the normal way to raise feed dogs up. Just a thought.
Hola podría hacer un tutorial de como hacer ojales con esta máquina, no tengo manual de instrucciones y no se como hacerlo. Y como podría conseguir el Manual?. Gracias
If you put "sewing machine feet" into amazon or ebay you get lots of choice. Just make certain the full description says "low shank" somewhere and it will work. www.amazon.co.uk/Sewing-Machine-Presser-Brother-Domestic/dp/B00OZ9RWJE/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1550000964&sr=8-3&keywords=sewing+machine+feet
If its like the Necchi mp200 it'll be crap. The Feed dogs won't when after a couple of times. I wasted money in the necchi one and wild but anything necchi ever again
Would you favour a Janome 2030DC instead of this one, as I was toying with the idea of getting this Aldi one as it's available again for £150 or do I spend the extra for a better machine ? Thanks
Are you in the UK? I can supply any Janome machine and if you have a look at my facebook page the current offers are on there. facebook.com/sewingcentrewigan

I find the position you put the thread arrester better and logical but the manual says the opposite way. Could this be a misprint?

This is a good go to video but unfortunately completely missed how to thread the machine up.

Please, I need a help, I can't operate my machine, I bought it new but I find it so difficult to operate it.
Quick question....How much was this machine and is it still working well over a year after you posted this video?
Mine was £90 down from about £140 end of the lidl offer period. The source for the list was referenced below on the description.

عندي نفس الماكينة ولكني اعاني مشكلة وهي أن اسنان الماكينة لا تصعد للأعلى وبالتالي عند الخياطة لا تسحب القماش
Might've been an idea to sew something? I would've liked to hear it in action.
No problem - I think I'm about ready to do part II

You just start sewing and they will pop up automatically, this is one of the most common questions on the facebook group, so you are not alone.

Can I make the letters bigger
No it's not a "proper" embroidery machine so you are stuck with the small letters.

could someone please tell me what foot you would use for lettering with so crafty digital sewing machine thanks jeanette
I would use a free arm embroidery foot, unless it recommends otherwise in the manual
Do you need another foot for doing that I just use what’s there
Could you send a link to where to get the feet from plz
