    A lot more effort went into this one than usual, and I even got a bit of help with some of the editing too - I'd REALLY appreciate extra feedback and suggestions so that I can make the next one even bigger and better 👀

      Love the format overall and the creativity. One idea is maybe a few image recreations of actual board states if you can recall them which may be an issue I know. You describe them well enough as well.

    • @timdanklin

      This is definitely something I've been wanting to include!!! It's mainly that I need to get better at immediately taking more detailed notes, but hopefully something I can make happen 👀

      Hi have REALLY been liking your content as someone pretty new to TCG, a common tip I've heard for thumbnails is to limit how many points of focus to 3. I also think a lot of your other thumbnails don't appeal to a wider non tcg audience. I generally like the one on this video but I think it's a lil cluttered.
      my fav thumbnail of yours: ruclips.net/video/XmKor_HQkzE/видео.html
      -Immediately I know what the video is about w/o looking at title
      -no extra info, not cluttered
      -is funny/intriguing
      Also an idea you've probably had but maybe haven't done since it could be an annoying amount of work is to grab footage from live games where you try to create similar situations to make it easier to understand what is happening during the match. I think the current style is alright but would be easier for non tcg players to visualize if it was in live.
      I've been trying to get better at editing/thumbnail stuff for social media work and would also love to chat if you ever wanna talk content

    • @timdanklin
      @timdanklin  8 дней назад +1

      Really appreciate the feedback!! Yeah the thumbnails are something I'm trying to work out and tighten up - I absolutely want to make my videos accessible and appealing to a wider audience (people who may not necessarily play the TCG but might play other TCGs, or just like Pokemon)
      If you ever want to reach out, best way is to just shoot me a message on twitter and I'll try respond 🫡

    Hey I just want to really say I appreciate you bringing entertaining videos to the TCG side of pokemon. I think we need more people like you putting in effort to make amazing content. Gives Wolfe vibes in terms of video format so keep it up

    • @timdanklin
      @timdanklin  14 дней назад +4

      This legit means so much to hear!! I really think there is such a gap when it comes to quality PTCG videos, so I'm glad to be filling at least some of that - Wolfe vibes are exactly what I was going for so that's a huge compliment

  • @NawiPokemon

    Still love the quality of the videos you put out, it's a nice breathe of fresh air into the content side of PTCG. Most people just record and upload full games which isn't my cup of tea at all, so I really appreciate the time you put into producing this sort of high quality content and take the time to explain each of your games. It makes me feel like I was there to watch.
    I hope to get my arse up and back to creating content with the same high quality as you do, you really do inspire me. Keep up the brilliant work!♥

    Coming to PTCG from MTG I am kinda shocked at how often players draw. It seems really hard to actually finish a game 3. I'm not sure what can be done about it other than maybe handing down harsher punishments for slow play or changing the point structure to punish drawing heavier.

    • @timdanklin
      @timdanklin  14 дней назад +1

      When I played in one of the MTG RCs last year I had absolutely no problems with time, and I was reading A LOT of cards lmao - I think it has a lot to do with just how much searching, shuffling, and sequencing happens in Pokemon - on average there are just way too many actions on each player's turns
      Unfortunately changing the point structure would most likely just result in way more gentleman's agreements and not really resolve the core issue

      @timdanklin  14 дней назад

      It's hard to say without knowing all the cards that we'll be getting in the next set, I'm really hoping for some kind of DTE replacement, otherwise the deck will probably need to be completely rebuilt with either glass trumpet, Charizard ex or something else entirely!

    @Nathrocks12 День назад +1

    "Scooping earlier" Explain?

    • @timdanklin
      @timdanklin  День назад

      Scooping is basically recognising that you PROBABLY can't win the game, and just conceding to start the next one - doing this earlier (say when it's looking like I only have a 10% chance to win) would leave more time to finish the remaining games!
