I finally got mine last week. It’s gorgeous! Dudes at the car wash were flipping out over it
@Phillip Banes xle highest trim 39,000
Thanks for the information. I'd like to get one but I don't know what is the market price is.
@@phillipbanes5484 the only reason I am getting one (LE trim but still) is because in an apartment building's parking lot, ev charging is extremely expensive and almost inexistant... its not in every case an EV makes more sense. Although a base model 3 is MILES better than a loaded Prius, I have to agree with you there
@@phillipbanes5484 I think it’s a problem of infrastructure integration lagging behind, it’s a pretty easy problem to fix, and one that will be fixed eventually but yeah in the mean time there are still downsides
@@phillipbanes5484 well first, it’s uncommon to have electric car charging mostly cause it’s usually implemented way after the building is built, and second it’s expensive to implement, so currently only luxury apartments get them, and as of right now mostly in big cities; but with the auto industry shifting to electric SO fast (recent meta analyses show that over half of Americans are considering new or used evs for their next cars, and many automakers have overtly announced their plans to fully electrify their entire lineup in the next 10 years), it’s going to be a simple supply and demand question; apartment buildings will be forced to offer affordable charging to keep clients happy…
so basically I kinda misspoke by saying it’s easy… it’s more that it’s inevitable that the issue will be fixed once the demand is there in the near future
Hey, awesome job going through the tech features! Almost all the other car viewers just skip over that part. I really appreciate you showing us what's going on there.
We went the opposite regards colour and bought the Pearl hue. Everybody thinks it's white, but when you take a really close-up look you see it isn't white at all. Love that.
And, pop off one of those plastic hub-caps. You will find a really nice alloy wheel, not a cheap stamped steel rim. Never have I seen this with another car!
5,000Km so far and we have used less than 1.5 tanks of gas.
Fabulous! I agree completely with the pearl white color. So good up close!!
I plan on upgrading my 2010 Prius to the new 2023 Prius (Limited). I have been watching reviews since the Prius ' first release and this is one of the best reviews. You show all of the features and give us an in depth look of the Prius and its new features. Great review, thank you.
You have done a great overview of all the features with the new Prius. But, I must quibble with one thing; The Brake Hold button isn't (at least with our 24 Prime), meant to keep the car at a stop in intersections and such. It's meant to automatically apply the handbrake every time you park and to release the brake when ready to drive. And, you don't have to press the button every time you start the car (at least with the Canadian model).
We are in love with ours's. 5,000Km on it now and have used less than 1.5 tanks of gas. Worst part is the daily argument over which one of us gets to drive..................
Great review! I have seen numerous ones and this was the best with most details. Appreciate it!
You’re welcome! Thank you so much for the kind words ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for this video! I've been watching it every day while waiting patiently and I finally got my 2024 Prius LE in Black! Looks even more stunning in person with the all black.
I honestly cant believe it took them this long to design a good looking Prius :) Thanks for the video :)
Nice review. I traded my 2016 Prius for the 2023 XLE model. It has taken me a couple of months to get used to it. The first complaint I have is the noise it makes from the speaker under the hood to warn people. It is only from 0 to 19 MPH and louder in reverse. NO ONE ever mentions this "feature". This is my 4th Prius from 2004 to now. I went on You Tube and found the fix for this NOISE!
They also didn't tell us about only having one FOB for the car and as of now they say "I should" have my second FOB by March. I took delivery in June. My 2016 had much more storage in back and it was much easier to get in and out of. I'm 6' 2" but I'm getting used to it. The ride makes up for all the negative things about it which aren't that many really. Again, very nice review.
Thank you for such a great and comprehensive review!
Awesome video! You explain a lot of technical stuff that other videos don't! Congrats!
Very detail thank you 👍
Despite the aerodynamic looks, it is less aerodynamic than the previous Prius surprisingly.
Very detailed walkthrough of this new model, I appreciate all of the time through this! My wife and I are looking into the LE for a new second vehicle and just like yourself, we love the simplicity, too. One thing I thought would be a really cool edition is if Toyota allowed you to display either Apple or Google Maps on the HUD so it's right in from of the driver instead of off to the side. Overall absolutely love this redesign
Trust me that you are the best explanation of all!!!!
Very well done! Loved the overview of the various menu and vehicle functions. Great job.
Thanks for reviewing this trim. Too many reviewers only review the top trims
What are you all getting on your MPG I was hoping 60 MPG at 55 to 60 or 2,000 RPM. On Long Cross Country Trips. Coments anyone?
Thank you for helping me to make a great choice of a 2013 RX350 AWD. My wife and I love it. We bought in December 2020, and it has been trouble free (regular maintenance only) and drives like new with 136,000 miles
Glad to help! Thank you for the kind feedback!
I just purchased a 2024 Prius LE. I wanted the entry level trim, because it gets better gas mileage than the other trims. I drive a lot for work and I want to squeeze every last MPG I can. I've managed to achieve the advertised 57 MPG. I drive over 400 miles for work and I can get to my destination on one tank of gas and still have plenty of range for local driving when I get there. I've said all that, to say this... I freaking love my Prius. This is the second one I've owned, I had a 2010 model several years ago, before I got a Corolla Hatchback. I traded my Corolla in for the Prius. My one and only gripe about the newer version, is that it doesn't have a back windshield wiper. I'm ok with that and can live without it. 😁😃😄
Great review. Not out in uk yet, I think it's later this year, I can't afford one new but in 3 years, it will definitely be in my price range 👍🏻
Fingers crossed! I hope to get a nice pre owned one as well!
The car is worth the wait. Ours took 21 months to land. I was astonished when told how expensive a Prime can be in some European countries. One chap said the car would cost him the equivalent of $80,000 Canadian. Our Prime was less than half that and we had to think hard about ordering. So glad we did now.
Great, toyata finally changed the microwave oven sound when locking doors..
On that remote you can do a remote start on your car (on the lock but click , click and click keeps pressing for more 3 seconds till you see flash lights blinking but you still need to push the start but when you in the car )
Just got mine a couple days ago. With the demand the way it is, never had the chance to even check one out beforehand, but I am pleased with my choice! Must say the car looks better up close than in videos. Thank you for making this very useful video.
Best review 💯
I’m waiting for my 2024 LTD AWD to be delivered. I drove a 2010 and 2014 Prius. The cabin in this one feels much smaller to me (I’m only 5’) but I don’t care. I love this car. I down, loaded all 5 of the manuals and have been reading them for a week. I thought the same thing… it seems like it could be a self-driving car, especially with all the safety sense 3.0 features.
Right on!
Thank you so much for the in depth review of the gauge settings!
"You're probably not going to have a ton of people in your Prius." Bruh. The number 1 use of a Prius is Uber, Lyft and Taxis. You didn't tell us how extremely tall you are, and the fact you have the front seats pushed ALLLL the way back. 99% of people will not have issues with sitting in the back.
thanks for the review. when you were driving on highway, the road/wind noise seemed quite significant.?
Thank you so much for this video. I plan on buying the 2023 Prius (Limited), and your video goes in depth about the display board settings and functions of the safety sense and the drive connect. Thank you again for taking the time to go through what to expect and to set in the new Prius. I cannot wait.
If there's no spare tyre, what do you do in the event of a flat tyre where there's no vulcanizer?
I live atop a high plateau with a steep 8-mile climb up a canyon. After taking ownership of an AWD 2023 Prius XLE a few weeks ago I find that it absolutely loves the steep but high speed curves, both up and down -- no complaints, lots of fun. I'm comparing it to the 2015 Honda Sport that I just traded in for it; the Prius is both faster and better in the corners. Loving this car!
Here is a video (not mine) of our canyon road: ruclips.net/video/eeB56c9I6X4/видео.html
Thanks for the review and perspectives.
While showing the hatch open and not folding down the rear seats viewers miss seeing the expansive cargo space.
Was that coach line put on by the dealership?
Shame that you can't use the front camera as a dash cam.
The extra metal key is to be matched up with the second key fob when Toyota shops them! The other fob has an identical door-key that is released by a button.
Can you tell us what trim this is? I see some features that is not equipped in LE but it seems this is LE version.
It is definitely the LE trim, with FWD. Only the LE has wheel covers 👍. What features do you believe aren't supposed to be on the LE?
Hi there. You mentioned you felt more confined as a driver in the new Prius. However, in your video description you said the car is roomier?
“The old prius had like 4 hp”😂😂
Love that tone
Whoever put pin stripes on this car is a jerk. Nothing against you if you like them though.
🔥🔥🔥🔥So dope🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks a lot. ❤
You're welcome 😊
At six feet tall, I feel the 2023 Prius was designed for Japanese midgets. Too difficult to get in and out of it because of the lower roof. I’m having second thoughts about getting a 2023 Prius.
Lmfaoooo bruh u can get in that mf im 6’3
How tall are you? Cuz the backseat thing is a pretty big thing for me
I’m 6’3.
Thank you for your reply! 👍
Glad I could help😁
I've sat in the new Prius both front and back seats and it was fine. I'm 5'-11". I adjusted the front driver's seat for me and then sat in the back and had about 5-6 inches of space between my knees and the back of the front driver's seat. I have a 2nd gen Prius and the back seat of this new Prius felt more spacious side to side. However, I could sense the difference in the lower height of the headliner immediately getting into the car. Which means it feels like you need to lower your head a little more to get in and out of the car compared to my 2004 Prius.
@mrxman581 Thanks for your input! 👍🙂
Are you still going to buy the Ford Maverick??? I like the way the new Prius look!
You should wait for the Toyota Stout instead.
I got the xle model. does not matter how I drive, the average is always around 43, not 52
If you use your A/C al the time it reduces the MPG too. Prius get the best mileage in city driving.
Do better
Le has the best mpg out if all them
I love the Prius (I have 2), but notice that there hasn't been one video on RUclips showing the shortcomings of this NEW design. For example, where is the heads-up display for short people?
You can adjust both the seat height and steering wheel column up and down to better view the dash over the wheel. The placement of the dash cluster is meant to be viewed over the top of the wheel and it's set closer to the windshield in lieu of a HUD. Though it might not work well for very short or very tall people.
@@mrxman581 Thanks!
What is ur mpg on it
Too bad the tax incentive is no longer available on the Prime and the dealer marks up makes it even worst.
I've read that the dealership does qualify for the $7500 federal tax credit if you lease the Prius and the dealership can pass on the equivalent amount as a discount to you. It's a loophole of sorts.
Awesome review for Prius 2023 LE, finally!
The Only way to buy a Prius is to order them is the nail in the coffin for the Prius. $30k+ for an economical car is an oxymoron. Making then lower and smaller inside they will loose most of us old people (50 year old) that have bought 3 of them.
I have never owned a Toyota because that brand was always synonymous with hideous styling. This new Prius on the other hand is a very handsome car.
I wonder if you had the opportunity to drive this car in the rain - I am curious if the absence of the rear window wiper is problematic for rearward visibility in the rain.
I'm usually a fan of any black car but for some odd reason I'm not feeling this one. Maybe it's the hubcaps. I'm not sure.
Wbu does it look like a cross between a Lambo and Aston
i thought this was steve-o
The efficient of drag is .27!
Yes, the new design is beautiful. However, the front roof is 2 inches lower and the back one is 4 inches lower. It is harder to get in and out of the car. It lost its heads up display. The steering wheel blocks the speedometer screen. With the correct driving skills. My 2021 Prius will still beat out the new one (with more power)!
Personally, I didnt find the last gen Prius “ugly”
It looks like a sexy computer mouse
That’s awesome! I can see it!!!
Look at it Dammit!!!
I did
My 2008 Touring carries a matching rim full size spare that I swapped for the emergency tire. I still get 50 mpg with that being carried. No effect on MPG, thats all bs, they are just CHEAP.
I will Never own a car that doesn't have a full size spare. There is NO SUBSTITUTE.
Make mines in silver. Make it look like a tesla
In my opinion it does not look cool anymore. Oh well, happy for anyone who likes this design.
This car looks way better in white 😊
We have a 2024 Prime with the Pearl paint. People think it's white. But in fact, it isn't. Look at the car very close-up on a bright day and you'll find it really is pearl. That's why it costs $600 more than the other colours.
Also, under those hub caps is a fine set of alloy rims, not bland stamped steel.
The steering wheel is too small .
Wow ! look at this and look at that, and there is no spare tire ! No spare tire, Nothing attractive !1
I hate all that dumb ass computer crap , just give me a radio
The Prius is too small in the back ! My hair literally is squashed making me have to squirm my head down.. good luck if your 6 foot & taller … couldn’t imagine a drag queen or even a girl in a dress trying to fit in the back seat..
Saw one on the road today. Ugly.
What on earth does it have to look like for you? A McLaren?
@@Learned333 The last two generations look better to me. This has such a sloped windshield, not sure if the longer lower, wider made it BETTER for room and even styling. The new back reminds me of a newer Dart. a 1988 Corolla sedan has nice lines to me!
@@swlancaster1964cool story bruh
HOW TALL ARE YOU
I’m 6 foot 3 inches
Looks like a Tesla
But sexier.
Mmmm no you can’t see we’ll out the back.
just Robocop car...
Looks like a odd Tesla
