The guy was a celeb that didn't want to be a celeb. He wanted to enjoy himself, learn the culture and show us the experiences you could embrace while there.
I miss this guy. He inspired my wanderlust whenever I work abroad and go exploring off the Google charts looking for food spots. He was a badass who wasn't afraid to speak his mind and appreciated the culture behind food.
Anthony Bourdain....missing his character calmness and his exotic food tours, places we may never ever get to see. Thank you Anthony for expanding my culinary horizons. R.I.P.
I really love how he told a story about the places, it was not just the food, it was the whole experience and the people, RIP and God bless my fellow foodie mentor

Hate to be 'that person', but this ain't borneo...it's in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia...across the sea and a couple hours flight away from Borneo, I'm afraid.
I think its most probably cause the episode title of his travel show is Borneo. He plan to go Sarawak for his show but like other states in Malaysia, most of the time, you have to stop at KL first.
The world will never be the same without you, Tony. My heart breaks over and over every time I remember you and the global impact of the things you did.🥺
yes it will. its a better place, he was a disgusting coward who it was all about me me me not even his kids he left. a coward, who often made fun of people who were less successful than him or different, a true bully in the worst ways. you know when they found his body he was covered in piss and shyt? lol like his intestinal tract exploded, i heard it really stunk, google it. good times lmao
We all miss him, but I think the only thing I can do to deal with that is to continue and spread his mentality on food culture. There are so many things that separate the different people around the world, but the one thing we all have in common is that we gotta eat. Anthony Bourdain always showed me that no matter where you end up, there are people to meet and therefore food to try. You don’t gotta love everything you taste but always be open to try it as long as it won’t kill you.
Still watching his videos till now. He will forever be my mentor for food itself. I wished I would have bumped into him when he was still around. As I have follow his food trail steps all around Asia.
Man I miss Anthony he would go to a little street stall somewhere in China on a rainy Tuesday night and find some banging ass food and open your eyes to all types of culinary foods there will never be anyone else like him RIP
that's why I love Bourdain. he knows what Wok Hay is but in the ears of the assuming OTC (other than Chinese) it means the breath of the Dragon that gives the food it's heat flare.
I worked in Asia for three years and to this day I am out eating bowlfuls of noodles a few times each week. Nothing better in the winter than a hot bowl of soup filled with noodles ( I tend to mostly go for the braised beef ) . I also get a weekly fix of steamed dumplings. With Christmas Day and Boxing day over my favorite place for noodles and dumplings should be open tomorrow - so happy . Oh and I watched a few old episodes on CNN last night ( Jersey, Bronx , Pittsburgh ) .
Can confirm: when you're in Hong Kong (or whatever part of SE Asia this was filmed in), you want to go to one of these roadside spicy crab joints. Without question.
"I don't even know what this is..." shovelles chopsticks full of it into his mouth.
The world will never have another celeb chef like him. RIP.
This man truly know southeast asia food. RIP

he said it himself he's more of a tv personality than a celeb chef.
This man eats and talks to his food like it’s his lover 👍
I want to add another like but I don't want the count to go passed 420, in honour of Tony.
I am going to miss his enthusiasm for food and respect towards different cultures. Rest in peace my friend.
