I have a friend from Kenya who lives in the Netherlands who always carries maize flour when from home. One time his bag of flour was stolen at the airport 🤣 he cried. He used to get it milled from home (somewhere in western Kenya)

California has strict rules on what foods and plants you can bring into the state. We have agricultural inspection stations at the Arizona and Oregon borders and beagles at the airports checking luggage.

But what she brought is acceptable but I was answering someone who said what should I bring if I win green card. My answer is just bring anything nothing much can happen and the only thing is that when something is not allowed, they usually throw it away later.
