The line makes no sense in the first place. It was too early for Kaz to just tell her. He should have struggled with it a lot more, it's his most core vulnerability and thus, shame. And her response is also so... surface-level. It's bland. She doesn't struggle to get there. It's straightforward -- and thus, boring. It doesn't ADD tension, it removed it. This whole season was terrible for building tension (i.e. they didn't bother to), but it's all in the service of getting closer do making a true Six of Crows season... Which is honestly all I care about. I will purchase a separate Netflix subscription and just loop this show if I have to.

As book readers we understand why he’s closed off but people just watching the show are going to think he’s an absolute dick. I’ve realized this as I was watching some reaction videos. They easily were annoyed with how carelessly he was being with his crew and found some sympathy after he tells Inej. Like finally.

You should read the books you'll love them even more! But yes they were fantastic this season and their ability to convey emotions, intimacy and chemistry without even properly touching or kissing is out of this world 😩 Love this edit!!
@@c8se There's no need to read Shadow and Bone first as it's a different story, just in the same world and set earlier - Alina, Mal and co don't interact with the Crows at all in the books. The Crows books (Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom, in that order), are set two years later and start the Crows' story there, rather than it all happening at the same time like it does in the show. Hope this helps 😊 (if you haven't found out already in 2 months of course lol)
