Mary's life was so difficult after she went to Scotland! That's why i loved the series ending. When she gets to heaven, she immediately tells francis how hard it has been. What a relief for her to have some peace after fighting mainly on her own for a very long time!

History pitted two very strong women against each other because of the manipulations of men. Had they not been ordered around and deceived by men, they would have worked things out amongst themselves leaving each a ruler of their own countries and at peace.
I am currently re watching the series, this scene was heartbreaking for sure. Adelaide Kane did an amazing job as did the rest of the cast of Reign, great series, she went through so much at such a young age.
