The year is 1907. It is 10 years after his disappearance from the Paris Opera House and the Phantom has escaped to a new life in New York where he lives amongst the screaming joy rides and freak-shows of Coney Island. In this new electrically-charged world, he has finally found a place for his music to soar. All that is missing is his love - Christine Daaé. Now one of the world’s finest sopranos, Christine is struggling in an ailing marriage to Raoul. So, it is with excitement she accepts an invitation to travel to New York and perform at a renowned opera house. In a final bid to win back her love, the Phantom lures Christine, her husband, and their young son Gustave from Manhattan; to the glittering and glorious world of Coney Island… not knowing what is in store for them…
All I could think about while watching this was how I'm one of those kids with the glint in her eye and the dream of becoming a great singer like him. Can't wait to get there.

I think Ramin is a terrific Phantom and a wonderful person! He seems so grounded and appriciative. His wife is a very lucky lady indeed. His voice is absloultley heavenly on the LND Cast Recording. I still can't pick out a favorite song yet. He and Sierra have a fantasric chemistry for these iconic characters. His desire to create passionate work for both the audience and his collegues is so admirable. I hope he stays in theatre for many years, continuing to astonish people with his talent.

Gutted I never got to see Love Never Dies. I know people say its rubbish but I'd have liked to have seen it for myself.
@Meggzwazhere I'd just like to remind you Ramin is an actor, he's not stupid, it's his job to "honour the piece" and be as enthusiastic as possible, even if some people are ruining it for him
I wonder how all of his old classmates feel about him now being the person they watched before.

Fantastic work Mr Karimloo. I just listened to the CD (here in Oz) & he is a great baritone. Love to see some transition to and from opera sometime.

I watched love never dies on wednesday and it was great and I watched phantom of the opera last year both were great Ramin Karimloo played a great phantom loved the whole play itself too :)
