Congratulations on a dream come true. My first trip to Spain was a zillion years ago and I always said I would be back. I went again years later for a year and returned to the states. After several years " living the American dream", I decided this is where I needed to be; fast forward several years later.... I'm still happy I chose to be here in Spain. All the best to you!!!

Wise, and Revolut would give you a way to be paid in a US account and the ability to access the balance at will and convert it to euro at a low cost. Payoneer could be another option, but I'm not familiar with their fees.

The US nowadays is such a wonderful place that every video talking about other countries needs a five minutes introduction with apologies. Because God forbid people can express opinions, preferences and have an open conversation about it... 😬
Said that, even if you all love the US above everything else, I suggest you find a way to live in other countries for a few months, via exchange programs, volunteering and so on. So that you can see the world and be able to tell your grandkids all about it, even if you decide to never leave.
I'm just about there. I need to see other places.
