  • Christmas is finally at our door and this is for me the perfect excuse to make Christmas handwoven objects! This year, I have decided to weave a table runner using 8/2 and 8/4 cotton. In the pattern, I have pickup stick sequences and Christmas trees.
This project will have three videos in total and this is the first one. During this video, I will show the whole weaving of the project, without getting to technical about the pattern. The second video will cover the pickup stick pattern and the third video will be about the Christmas trees.

I love it! Very festive. It turns out that 6 is the correct number of trees for this project. I may have been off a bit before. Merry Christmas to you too.

Thank you for sharing this pattern and breaking it down step by step in videos. Your videos have been excellent for a beginner like me. If I have a 10/2 yarn, should I change to a 15 dent to compensate for the yarn difference? Thank you!

Thank you so much for your nice words! I have to admit, I have never worked with 10/2 yarn, so I feel uncomfortable telling you what your best option would be. If you have enough of it, making a sample would be ideal. If not, you could use a ruler to get an estimate on the right set for your yarn. I'm sorry I cannot be of anymore help!
