@@kevinjacobsson9869 It's even more interesting that it was one of the best guitar solos of the decade by one of British magazines but i forgot which one
No!!!!!! They're paying homage to Sergio Leone's "Once Upon a Time in the West!" Come on, man! You've gotta watch that classic if just for Ennio Morricone's score!
Ast, it's a rendition of Ennio Morricone's Harmonica song, it's not a "copy", it's just them playing one of the best scores in western cinema's history, so they can then change it to their own Knights of Cydonia. Anyone who was there and knew the original has to have orgasmed right the fuck there. I mean to watch your favorite band play one of those incredible classics. I would have.
I had the luck to work on "Olimpic" stadium of Rome those years, and in the 8 years of work, this was the most difficult to prepare, because everything had to be perfect.... Rome was the official video concencert of the world tour.... In 8 years of concerts, never heard a similar acustic... You can pass behind the scenes, and hear like you were in front of it... Normally behind the scenes you hear the sound twise and confused... And the fire, was increbible.... This was and I think will always remain the most beautiful experience i've ever had in a concert... It was just perfect
i would highly recommend seeing them, from my experience they're much better in an open space rather than an arena, seem to project their music much better
I've probably commented on the most videos of this version. But everytime I watch it I get blown away. Is it even possible for a song to be this awesome and rock so freakin' much?
The harmonica at the start, immediately took me back to my childhood, me and my family would listen to ennio morricone in the car everytime we went for a medium/long trip. I love Muse so much, they're the first group I've ever listened to in my life, and they've been my favorite ever since. They've been there for me, with their beautiful music, for more than half my life. And they're unique.
Anybody who is from my generation (born 1960) who says “music today sucks” or “rock is dead” need to sit down STFU and listen to then see these guys live. Unbelievable.
I'm not actually a Muse fan but i always felt this song was brilliant. One of the best rock songs ever written. One thing i also like about this song is that the type of arrangement is actually far from what you would expect from a "commercial/pop" tune and yet it became a hit.
@@tuomas_ The riff in KOC is a tribute to Matt's dad during his time with the band The Tornado specifically for the song Telstar en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telstar_(instrumental)
I first heard this song on the radio in 2007. I had just bought a dirtbike after a 14 year layoff from motocross racing. After hearing the first chorus, I cranked it up and opened the rear window so the bike could hear it too. That chorus became our official anthem.."The time has come to make things right..." I rode that day like I'd never took a break, with this song in my head. To this day it grips me.
This music is legendary for me. The intro, the melody, the message. Thanks Muse for giving us this masterpiece. A fan from Brazil. I come here every now and then. It's just awesome.

I hope they will keep rocking the same way as they have always done

I love it when singers are doing so well, then do something to prove they’re singing live. Like when Matt pulled away from the mic at the end of the verse.
The harmonica in the intro reminds me so much of School by Supertramp. Then Matt's guitar comes in and we go into the Hans Zimmer score from the parlay scene in Pirates of the Carribean 3. Eclectic.
Yes! The intro is from Once Upon a Time in the West! POTC was definitely inspired by it. Speaking of School by Supertramp, I think the theme song of Red Dead Redemption comes directly from the bridge of that song. Fascinating how many connections there are in music!

It's actually more like a guitar solo, not a riff
neхт day i think it counts as a riff since its so easy to play. And just repeats with a higher octave

If they ever make a generic futuristic Sci-fi spaghetti western, this song should be in the soundtrack.
This song always reminds me of Firefly.
