Alex Lusio First of all, almost every other lyric site says "I need to love". 2nd, just listen to him when he sings it, you can clearly hear "to" not "your", the t stands out
As my wife was dying from cervical stage 4 cancer, she listened to Muse as she died,We held her.I took the headphones off her, after closing her eyes. And there was this song.Muse reminds me of my beautiful Julie.
We both are very sorry for your loss. Prayers for you in your grief. Know that there are many who have lost beloved mates and would be happy to meet you in a grief support group.
Definitely. One of the greatest frontmen ever to perform for large crowds, but unfortunately doesn't get the recognition he deserves due to Muse appealing to a relatively niche group of people
Except maybe for the second "I need to LOVE" and the whole verse with "Come to me, trust in your dreams". And he most definitely NOT in the "m-m-m-m m-m-m-m mad mad mad" part. But indeed, great falsetto! Unbelievable he does without even going slightly off tune.
Seeing this at the Emirates Stadium made me cry. I love this song and the performance was immense. Seeing it from another angle and being able to see the audience and hear them sing, its probably one of my favourite performances to be captured on camera, let alone 4K quality!
You must not listen to much live music then. Its a good performance, but... Alright, have you ever seen Led Zeppelin live? Now THAT is a fucking live perfomance.
Unfortunately I haven't as they disbanded before I was born and I was too young to see any of their reunited shows (let alone not being interested in them, then).
Kelly Lancaster Well then watch some of their live videos. Or their DVD The Song Remains The Same. Their approach to live music was amazing. They never played a song the same way twice.
More than likely there will also be some back vocalists behind the curtain as well helping. I saw Alice Cooper once, and my guitar tutor Pete Friesen is his guitarist so I got to see backstage and they had about 4 vocalists behind the curtain doing the backing vocals as well. Still a great show and I could be wrong, but it sounds like more than one back vocals.
The beautiful things I love here: 1. Muse have two beautiful voices from Matt and Chris and both voices complement each other beautifully. 2. Guitar solo and whatever sound that come out of Chris touchscreen guitar. 3. Matt improvising the climax (different and better than the studio version) and the crowd sing along with that part, got me goosebumps. 4. Looks like a chill out moment for Dom. No? Conclusion: I love Muse and Madness
+Coockiie Me i saw them live as the finale at kroq's weenie roast last summer, and man, only made me want to go to a genuine Muse concert. just spectacular band live.
+Coockiie Me saw them in LA and holy shit you're in another galaxy when you see them live. you know a band is good live when they're not even your favorite band
agreed I've always thought 2012 was his vocal peak myself. disagree that he's underrated tho, we all love him very much 😄 not as well known by the general public perhaps as someone like Freddie Mercury, but it is what it is
Objectively his peak vocals was in 2007. It’s been downhill from there due to aging but there’s nothing he can do about it. He can’t even belt a single ‘I need your love’ nowadays 😢
10 years have passed, but Madness in Rome 18.07.2023 was the same - unbelievable! True blessing. One of the most powerful moments in my whole life. No words will be enough to describe ♥
I love how his voice kinda breaks when he pulls the long note, makes the song so much more powerful and emotional when the singer is giving it his all! I love it
It isn't breaking, it's an artistic choice as well preserving positive air so he can sustain but also slightly changing his diaphragmatic exhaling. He always does the same transition by watching his posture change around the time he does that, it's also just his singing style while also being unique. ruclips.net/video/hpjciAuKBT0/видео.html Madness is first in line and you get a good visual.
As a singer for years, I always hold a standard of getting to 3:45. Part of my vocal journey is to be able to belt that note in this specific song at full voice like that.
If you've never been to a muse concert I highly recommend it. I went to a show to see another band that was playing with them and enjoyed their show so much more. It was a powerful experience.
I’m 32 and I’m really sad that I’m just now discovering the greatness of Muse but glad at the same time that I came across them. Incredible musicians and one of the top vocals I’ve heard. 👏👏
4:20 i fuckin love seeing things like this. you can tell she's resonating with this song. maybe someone showed it to her, maybe she assigned a deeper meaning for it for herself. but living in music is so much more rewarding when you can see other people doing it with you.
Chris voice is angelic, absolutely the best backing vocal I have ever heard in my life!! This entire performance is amazing, Matt is incredible. I hope to see Muse live one day.
It’s like the crowd where just waiting 🙏…… building up to that moment …. 70000 fans thinking the same thought ….. love!… I think that’s what we all feel at 3:48…… it’s what love sounds and feels like ✌️❤️🙏
The whole crowd. The high note. I could only imagine being there. Seriously underrated band. One of the best songs ever produced. Ever. In my top 10 all time for sure.
Brandon Clark Eh, I guess I'm just lucky, every concert I've gone to is the bomb, there's nothing better than seeing a band play live tbh, watching or hearing a song doesn't have the same feeling and or experience lol
If you haven't already, you should look up their lipsync videos. The situations were that they performed for small radio stations that obligated them to lipsync and the way the behave for those videos are fucking hilarious. I'm sure there is one video on youtube that is a compilation of those moments.
THE FEELING IN THAT STADIUM WOULD BE ETERNAL BLISS ! This doesn’t get mich better than this ! What a environment and performance ! Like a trance ! Wish we were there to feel it live
Damn, I really want to play it the way he does, but I'm so used to either down-pick all notes or alt-pick them that it's becoming a huge struggle combining both Talking about this part, of course: E ¦------------18------------18- up-pick B ¦---------------------------------- up-pick G ¦-12-13------12-13------ down-pick
3:06 The change of mood post guitar solo is really beautiful. Then the outro 4:10 comes.... makes this song more beautiful. I can feel they don't perform just to make money. They genuinely love to perform and put their souls to entertain their crowd.
Listen to the backing vocals in the last chorus of Fury. There's a video on youtube called Fury (Back Vocals, Semi-Instrumental) - you can find it easily
It's rare in this day and age of digital effects to find someone that sounds the same live as they do on their album. This band sounds BETTER live than they do on their album. WOW, absolutely blown away, and I'm a vocalist, so I'm really picky. Well done.
This is what happens as a Choir boy to Rock Star.... with vocal range, bad ass guitar skills, great writer, vision and his partners in the band. Yes, Chris is fabulous toooo.
Matt Bellamy is a musical genius.. now I'm not going to say Muse has always done everything right but they damn well put out the best albums consistently and that's why I appreciate them. This is just an example of how they do things right.
My now ex bought us tickets to see Muse together for my birthday, we broke up months later and he demanded them back or else he’d claim them missing. I ended up giving them back, bought my own ticket, and had to share the same venue as him while he brought his new girlfriend using my birthday ticket. His face showed up on the big screen during this song and I saw him singing, and he looked sad. We’d listen to Muse together every day when he came over, and we finally got to see them together, apart.

I saw them live and it wasnt the same. this concert in particular, I don't know what about it, but this performance of that song is intense to me. listen in to it turned way up loud with bass heavy headphones and it's just spectacular.
By far the best band ever. This song I’m sure resonates with so many of us. Muse has been the soundtrack to the most heartbreaking seven months of my life, my marriage breakdown. Thank you for keeping me somewhat (and I use that term very loosely lol) sane 💔
incredible...I can't wait to see the whole concert. I am so angry that I didn't fly to rome that night. I will never do that mistake again! Muse are becoming a legend band and noone should miss their majestic live performances.
Playing Live, these guys are up there with the best, if not at this moment the best, with a vocal lead like Bellamy, the backing vocals would be lost for most groups, but no, Chris and Matt, it's like magic. Boom!!!! Then comes Dom, I've see many bands in my time, but Dom, had me fixated on him, ok, the "onesie" was spectacular, but at the O2, Dom was the one for me, he was the glue, and the glue oozed that night. By far, the most amazing percussianist I've seen in my time!
Who else gets goosebumps when Matt hits that high note??
Every time!
Jason Perri Its because of the audience singing along

Totally agree and well said......... probably one of my favorite live performances of any song in my book 💪💪
Matt Bellamy is just ridiculously incredible. Possibly the most underrated front man of our generation
Apart from the fact that they had to lower the pitch of the song because he couldn't sing it live.
Freddie Mercury literally never sang his songs to pitch live but no one criticisms him as a front man for it
chester bennington was better
And Chester was good only at singing
Definitely. One of the greatest frontmen ever to perform for large crowds, but unfortunately doesn't get the recognition he deserves due to Muse appealing to a relatively niche group of people
His falsetto is amazing .
Omg!!! yesss...!

Totally agree . Beautiful
Utterly sublime, this kind of madness is addictive.
Not even joking but that is the best performance of a song i have ever seen.

I know right?
another really great backing vocal was father john misty when he was part of the fleet foxes band

+1
Saw them three times live and it was everytime amasing but this is EPIC !!
I would like to praise the bassist for giving such a great harmony 👍🏻
that high note with the crowd... powerful.
Не по рекомендациям RUclips, а по настроению и зову сердца!
By far the best band ever. This song I’m sure resonates with so many of us. Muse has been the soundtrack to the most heartbreaking seven months of my life, my marriage breakdown. Thank you for keeping me somewhat (and I use that term very loosely lol) sane 💔
Hot damn is it ever refreshing to see some vocals that hold up live!
I'll be forever grateful with you for showing me this song.
incredible...I can't wait to see the whole concert.
