Its been a minute since Ive made I beat that I really am in love with... the last one was like in JUNE bro. This beat breaks that slump. I dont want to say this is my best beat rn but its in the convo off rip imo.
As for the beat itself... I was really inspired by 'the black seminole off of Yachtys last project. I still remember being in disbelief the first time I hear that song, and that was the feeling I really tried to capture with this beat. The beginning of the beat is a bit more simple, some rock inspired drums over a sample I found that has like an organ and nice vocals. I knew that I needed to come in big with the guitars/bass, so when that switch occurs I tried to make it as "in your face" as possible. As i started to add more melodic elements, I realized there was potential for a killer beat switch, so i brought in that reese bass and tried to go to space with the synths.
I started this beat at 5PM, and was finishing it at around 11PM... i was so tired but i was in love with how it sounded so i did not care. just as I go to export it, my computer crashes. I felt like my world was coming to and end lol and i was fucking pissed... but my parents yelled at me so ya boy had to pipe down. I started again on this beat, taking the bits and pieces I had saved and using them as a starting point/reference. Its is not 3 am and I am going to bed
