@@sabritas1111’mostly forgettable’ yet its still so many people’s (including me) favourite album of the year. Opinion’s vary, but there’s no denying the album was sonically beautiful.
@nicolasfranck9201 no it’s not. You can see the influence yes… but replica means to be an exact copy… the singing in the great gig and this is different
@@grahamvarey1144 well seeing as a comparison was made, that’s what led to my comment. Yea the gig is amazing, but her vocals are otherworldly … can’t deny that
From someone in the rock and alternative lane who never bothered to listen to Yachty until Let’s Start Here (asides from a few features from Chance and Tame Impala)… I would HAPPILY declare this album AOTY. Dude went above and beyond in his vision, and hired literally the best musicians for it. If he did a tour where he played this entire album from start to finish, I’d 100% see it. 👌🏽
The way they really didn't fuck around with letting these black women shine, Mr Boat himself literally stepping back, and when that spotlight lit that vocalist up, what a moment
Never heard of Yachty before but my ears perked up immediately listening to this on SNL- like he took Pink Floyd and mixed it through a modern filter. Love it This is going to be one of my all time favorite songs for sure
imo, this was the AOTY,. The only one that could compete was UTOPIA, but Lets Start Here was a much more sonically transformative, cohesive, transportive, and intricate body of work
This man had to grew up from 0 to 100 as a musician in front of the whole world. Most of y'all don't know the pressure that most artists experience to even release anything into the world. Respect!!!
Jimmy Hendrix 70s sounds. Its pretty incredible. The guitar riffs, nicely done. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. The vocalist is a beautiful touch. Yeah this performance had great depth. Fire.
seeing this live at Rolling Loud Cali 2023 (there is also a video of the whole set) was an insane experience. It translated so well to live performance.. a very surreal experience from Boat.
the lp version of this song sounds like 1972 Funkadelic and PInk Floyd having a jam session. I heard about this song on 75 year old punk rock legend Iggy Pop's BBC radio show. AMazing stuff
Yatchy was fantastic, the singer stole the show, BUT the band gave this performance so much LIFE. The way the drums filled out the sound was perfection
@@CasualCat64 i feel like thats a personal preference tho. I think the tempo was perfect and the amount of times it switched was beautiful. He does incoporate more trap later on in the record, but as an intro this starts it off best.
@@rascal6 some recent albums I’d probably recommend would probably be: “Sometimes I Might Be Introvert” by Little Simz. genius record, instrumentals and bars go ridiculously hard. Maybe “Gemini Rights” by Steve Lacy in case u haven’t checked the full project. and uhh “Drunk” by Thundercat. All of them great records that you should listen from start to finish!
Whoa holy shit. This is a whole vibe. Something totally new yet….seems like it could have been done in the 70s for real. A beautiful amalgamation of old and new.
i heard this song first time surrounded by friends. you made such an awesome moment. rapping over pink floyd. so cool. i went home and i listened to the whole thing. its lovely. so fun. mr boat you are so warm. love
the fact that the album isn't nominated for any grammy is fking insane

@nico franck wow so funny
@nico franck obviously it’s similar it’s the same genre and he definitely took inspiration from it, but idk why you riding his meat so hard.
@nicolasfranck9201 bruh the synths and the drums during the transition to the last part are literally Tame Impala's sounds

i agree but he plays a backtrack in most performances
i hope you got a chance to go, it was wonderful
I don't think Tame Impala featured on the album, are you talking about back in 2021 when he collaborated for a remix of Breathe Deeper?
nah the music is all live performed for the tour@@James-gr5mx
