Hey Angelique! I’m currently a class of 2022 HS senior graduating in 2 months! Back in November, I applied to Irvine along with 3 other UC campuses. Since ACT/SAT is no longer considered, I took advantage of the opportunity to send off my app to Irvine. I hope I get in their Business Informational Management program. Hey, I’m looking to transfer into that major for fall 2022! Do you plan to be a teacher? Also, do you like the major so far?
@@heidinava2062 yeah, teaching is one of my career choices! & yes i do like the major so far! :) the classes are rly interesting and fun. i do still plan on double majoring tho in something else to give me more options besides teaching, since it is such a tough career.
Am i able to switch majors that are in the same curriculum, for example of Engineering, before i accept the admission or do i do that after i accept it?
I believe you’ll have to accept and go through the process of changing your major but I don’t really know much about the specifics

How large or small were the classes like? Before the pandemic hit lol
PianoLovee24 some classes like chem were about 300 but writing classes were only about 20 people so you’ll get a good variety lol
How many classes do you recommend taking per semester? And also how many if you are working part time?

can you take classes outside of your major?
Definitely! You have GE requirements to fulfill so that’s one way to explore other departments but if there is a specific subject you are interested in you can even pursue a minor

i’m an out of state student but i really want to apply for uci even though they favor in state students 😞
It doesn't hurt to try if you can afford to apply, I've met many out-of-state students :)
@@angeliqueespino4973 okay will do then!! how often do u see nursing majors, bc that’s my #1 choice for my major but it’s really hard and competitive to get into so i’m scared haha
@@isabella-rf5bb nursing is really competitive at UCI as far as I know but that's how it is at most schools in California so it will probably be tough but not impossible
