    Different approach. After you drill out the baffle, Big City Thunder QQ 1 7/8" baffles fit perfectly. They sound great and I didn't lose any low rpm power.

      Every person likes different sounds. The TTI is more for performance than sound although it does produce a bit deeper sound/rumble all the way through the RPM and Throttle range.

    I think that, slipons + high flow filter.. whether it's a stock look or round SHOULD require richer fuel mix. 883's come dry from factory to please emissions, so the Xied's enriches the mix quite a bit 6% making the engine sound, feel (cooler) and respond WAY better than stock.

    other than the possible different size hole saw, is the procedure the same on a 2021 FLSL softail slim? other videos show fiberglass wadding

    • @DKCustomProducts
      @DKCustomProducts  2 месяца назад

      The concept is the same. Here is a video where we take the baffles and wadding out of a M8 Softail stock exhaust that you may find helpful - ruclips.net/video/uSC1PBAgZmE/видео.html
      The baffle is what holds that wadding in so if you do not remove it when you remove the baffle it will just come out going down the road in the future.

    With the factory tapered muffler cut back 2 3/4", is there enough clearance to fit this insert 1/2 way into the muffler? These inserts are a lot more trick than the "Screw and Bolt" method I used to do back in the day. Thanks

    Hi have question i'm have sporters 883 05 custom.when me Made does need change Jets or some in carburator? I'm like sound Q torque
    And how long is deliver for part thanks

    • @DKCustomProducts
      @DKCustomProducts  6 лет назад

      You do not need to make changes to the jets, as long as you are running the stock air cleaner. If you already have made changes to the jets for a free flowing air cleaner and exhaust, you do Not need to make any changes to the carb. Only if you have a free flowing air cleaner and stock pipes, then you will need to make changes to the carb (jets). We ship within one business day of receiving the order. How long it takes, depends on where you are. No where in the USA should take more than 3-4 days.

    I don't see why you'd go to all the trouble to remove stock baffles just to install Thunder Torque when you can install Screaming Eagle mufflers & get same results. You can find them cheap re-sale on web wont void warranty , violate state & fed laws & don't require re map of ecm. Can't do this on 2013 stock mufflers anyways Harley change the end design so you can't cut them out

    • @DKCustomProducts
      @DKCustomProducts  6 лет назад

      it is a loud blubbery sound, and importantly, there will be a serious drop in power...you could put the TTI's in the end of the headers and have all your power, plus more, back.

    Do any changes need to be made to the carb or engine?

    • @DKCustomProducts
      @DKCustomProducts  10 лет назад

      No changes to carb or efi map needed. The Thunder Torque Inserts speed up exhaust gas velocity, reducing engine pumping loss. Result is more power without any other changes needed.

      Even if my bike ud fule ejected

    • @DKCustomProducts
      @DKCustomProducts  10 лет назад

      Trevor Hanes If you change only the exhaust, you do not need to do any change to the computer (ECM) that controls the system.
      Many who upgrade the exhaust also go ahead and upgrade the air cleaner. However, it is NOT necessary, it is just something that people like to do.
      If you upgrade the air cleaner & the exhaust then you do need to reprogram the ECM. We recommend either the XiED (see this link- www.dkcustomproducts.com/XiED-Fuel-Enrichment-for-EFI-Harleys-Plug-n-PlayMore-Details-DK-XiED-NR.htm ) or a PowerVision from Fuelmoto.
      With just the exhaust you are ok with the stock factory tune. The bike will run better with the XiED, but that is true regardless of the upgrade in exhaust.

    Do I need to remap the fuel system

    • @DKCustomProducts
      @DKCustomProducts  5 лет назад

      Just adding TTI's does not change the AFR in the combustion chambers, so if that is all you're doing, no. But, if you have a highiflow air cleaner AND you are going from stock exhaust to free flowing, AND you are still running the stock tune, then you would want to richen it up some. I will guarantee that stock made more HP on the dyno. Drag pipe sag, exhaust scavenging, and velocity hurt power.

    • @kevindkc
      @kevindkc 7 лет назад +1

      The more open a pipe is, the more HP it will make on the dyno. There is definitely a DROP in torque when opening them up...because of reversion. That is what the Patented TTI's address. They reduce the reversion, resulting in an increase in torque. These opened up stock slip-ons produce more HP and more Torque than stock...both felt on the street, and seen on the dyno. Check out all the dyno charts at this link- www.dkcustomproducts.com/Thunder-Torque-Inserts_c57.htm

    • @krisf7208
      @krisf7208 7 лет назад +1

      DK .Custom Not true, size of pipe matters because of velocity, the torque washer may help with reversion slightly, but it's not a cure. It can not keep the exhaust pulses from going back to chamber. I don't care what the manufacturer claims. I have seen it on the dyno many times. It's cool if you like the sound better, like they say, less power to ya! FYI you could have welded a washer on a bolt, ground a slot in it so you could rotate it for less than 20 cents. It would be the same piece of crap as the tti and you would have more money in your pocket.

    • @DKCustomProducts
      @DKCustomProducts  7 лет назад +2

      No desire to get into an internet dispute with you Kris. But you have seen it on the dyno even once with a Thunder Torque Insert. The patented shape of the TTI is Much More effective than the lollipop design we all used (that you describe) for years.

  • @raymondwinans978
    @raymondwinans978 5 дней назад +1

    You can't do that with 17+ with cats in the exhaust pipe .... LAME. BS LIES

    • @DKCustomProducts
      @DKCustomProducts  5 дней назад

      You can take out the baffles and install the TTI's and it will increase your low-mid range torque and change the exhaust tone even on a 17+ model. You can also remove the CAT if you wish to that will help with the felt heat from the exhaust.
