@Teji Gill well, Tej, if you will forgive me, but i am having a little trouble understanding your question. Obviously, english is not your first language. There is some hope for sport in the future but not much. The poisitive news ia that there are signs that, for the time being, some events are much cleaner than they used to be. Men's and womens sprint times are slower on average than they used to be, right up to 800 metres. That is a guide to present athletes ... and those of the past! Good for now, but makes you wonder how many od the heroes of the past were cheats?! Men's distance events still seem dubious. Kiprop a couple years ago killed a world class field but later was shown to be cheating. Someimes the cheats were just too good: Armstrong, Bolt? Flo Jo? You be,the jydge. I know my views. Alas, the Olympics have not been what we might have wished since, say, the suxties!
@Teji Gill punish both. The athletes are claiming results that are not their own but pretend they are. If you cannot compete cleanly, dont compete at all. So long as there is one athlete out their competing cleanly, you must punish the cheats. No one should be compelled by his or her cheating opponents to take drugs to have a chance of winning. Monetary gain is no excuse. Imagine telling your young child playing a sport that when they got to a certain age they had to take PED (cheat) to progress. Never, never, never. Let competitive sport die rather than let that happen.
Your so right. And I don't blame anyone in Olympics for it because they all do it and when your talking about an Olympic athlete they have one chance to get rich and famous. No gold means no money or fame and you likely skipped college so shit future ahead. People will be using roids so if they don't they are risking their futures. Juice up Olympians I'm with it

Not true, Asafa Powell was never a doper. He was convicted of a a substance that was inside an over the counter drug, and also successfully won an appeal. This argument makes no sense, it assumes the group determine the individual. Usain Bolt was one of the most tested athletes in history, he never failed.
Phelps's best times are not as mind-boggling as the Bolt's. Not even close. Phelps currently holds 3 world records dated between 2008-2009 when they used some special swimsuits that helped the buoyancy by trapping air bubbles. Those suits are prohibited now so his records are not comparable. Another huge differences is training. Swimming is much more forgiving on the body than running. You can swim at 90% of your potential 3 hours a day but a runner would destroy himself with such a load. But Phelps could have been using something - we will never know. He is a genetic freak himself. But do not compare the stringency of the PED testing in the USA and Jamaica please. That would be insulting. Countries like Jamaica would be always under suspicion and deservedly so.
Weed is by no means a PED. It was a stupid indiscretion. Swimming is a very monotonic boring sport that takes up a lot of time and all you see for 3-4 hours every day is the tile on the bottom of the pool. So Phelps decided to unwind a little. I have no idea what would have happened if Bolt was caught smoking weed. Look it up - weed is on the list of prohibited substances NOT BECAUSE it is a PED. So nobody probably would give a crap. He would probably get a month of suspension or so. Definitely incomparable with steroids.

After Lance Armstrong, I'm now more open to hearing someone else's allegations and only then make a decision. I won't be making it here because I'm not an athlete.
Phelps didn't have the kind of huge drop in time from the previous world record that Bolt did. Also the developments in swimwear technology pretty much coincided with Phelps prime which has played a large part in the lowering of times. There's also the fact that every single runner who has broken 9.8 in the 100 has either failed a drug test later or has been tied to people like Conte with 1 exception: Usain Bolt. Swimming hasn't had a similar history of drug fails.

not really, it is suspicious, but it dont really take anything away from bolt if he has taken roids, because every other top level runner like gatlin, powell, blake, gay, have all taken aswell. he is still the best sprinter of all time
It's called anecdotal evidence. He has a valid point about a small country winning all of the medals in any one given sport. This dude gets race times repeatedly wrong he said third place for the Jamaican women’s Olympic team was 9.88. Yet no women has ever run under 10.49seconds. There’s a reason why Jamaican athletes are faster than the rest. It’s a sinister reason. But it’s not drugs. It’s because the slave ships last stop was the Caribbean. Only the strongest and fittest survived that ordeal. Power to them, I say.
Thats absolute bs, there was no last stop in the caribbean, slaves on slave ships were shipped straight to their destination whether it be south america , the caribbean or north america and why would the caribbean be the final stop, if anything it would be the first. someone paid for the slave, those slaveships werent just going to dump off slaves at every port they stop at, how do you think people who paid for 10 slaves but only got 6 would react?. I am not even jamaican but i know the main reason they produce good sprinters its because its ingrained in their culture from a young age with alot of competitions where talents can clearly be scoped. Their high school champs competition is 2nd only to the US collegiate championship in the world for young amateur sprinters. Sprinting is ingrained in both cultures and young talents can easily be spotted and trained to be world level, it has nothing to do with ridiculous superstitions like slavery or the food they eat.

Suspicious you say, do you Victor? You quote a guy saying he's the most gifted sprinter that's ever lived. That's high praise. You (Victor) then go on to say that you think he could have broken the world record *without* having used drugs, if he has ever used drugs. Look, Usain Bolt is obviously built differently. His physique alone makes you believe why he could break all those records. Just pure genetics. His stride is longer so covering 5-6 metres more is quite reasonably possible over 100m - roughly 18cm more per stride - You cannot survive so many consecutive Olympic games cheating without getting caught, especially if you break records - you become a target. Give the man his props. He worked hard for it.
He could have escaped all tests since the Olympics Committee is involved in it. Genetics of course plays a large role but saying the Jamaicans were clean it's a bald assumption.

@@TheShepdawg9 I won’t argue with you by height is a massive advantage. Bolt was very good because he’s height allowed him to take fewer steps and take bigger strides that coupled with his rapid turnover like a short man allowed him to dominate races easily. Height only serves as a disadvantage in short races like 60m as the tall man/woman will need some time to accelerate compared to a shorter one. We don’t see tall sprinters because tallness isn’t common. It’s rare to come across tall people. But like I said believe in what u want - I’m not here right now convince u , u have ur own opinion
@Samzo2002 there are plenty of people that are bolt's height. 7 million actually. So why aren't any one of them also running in the Olympics if height helps so much?
PEDs don't work as well for people that are genetically gifted (like Usain) to run fast with a strict training and diet regimen. So if he was on drugs I don't think his record will be that much different (if at all different).
When you studying doping throughout different sports it is clear that a large amount of athletes in all sports are doping. Just allow doping, ban tests.
His numbers are all over the place. Saying women ran 9.84 and 10.19… then to say 10.8 is slower than that. I’m not saying he’s wrong, but if he can’t keep numbers straight, that seems “suspicious”.

Victor Conte has never commented about Michael Phelps...I wonder why that is.....
Vadim Rokhlenko actually we do know he was using something..marijuana. imagine if bolt got caught smoking weed.. all hell would have broke loose.
Vadim Rokhlenko I didn't say it was...but my point still stands. Had Usain got caught smoking weed....wow.

Also the fact that nobody has run under 9.80 clean but Bolt ran 9.58
People want fast times and are disappointed when they don't get them; but, when they do get them, they say everyone is on steroids. It's funny years ago, there were many from Jamaica who said every American athlete was dirty, and I remember saying once your athletes start winning you will see your athletes come under scrutiny... Low and behold here comes the scrutiny... Haters are equal opportunity offenders: if it's good for them, you best believe it's good enough for you and your.
Usain Bolt has a better body type than the other racers, his legs are long and he can make more distance in his strides.
...so why isn't every sprinter 6'5"?
@@TheShepdawg9does everyone have the same height?
@@Samzo2002 you're not the brightest, are you? My point is that, if height is such an advantage, we'd see a heap of 6'5" elite sprinters. We don't.
Imagine how fast Bolt would’ve run had he been on PEDs ...
A dirty closet was their testing facility 😂
Suspiciously fast
PEDs don't work as well for people that are genetically gifted (like Usain) to run fast with a strict training and diet regimen. So if he was on drugs I don't think his record will be that much different (if at all different).
9.58 100m

When you studying doping throughout different sports it is clear that a large amount of athletes in all sports are doping. Just allow doping, ban tests.
I thought bolt was holding back for a while before running his best like celebrating early when he broke the record at his 1st olympics
Cos he didn't know what the time was?
Nick Evans what?
Definitely
This man contradicted himself when he said that Mr. Bolt is well deserving of what he has accomplished. The only suspicion is coming from Mr. Conte.
Because he thinks they're all doping which is most likely the case
His numbers are all over the place. Saying women ran 9.84 and 10.19… then to say 10.8 is slower than that. I’m not saying he’s wrong, but if he can’t keep numbers straight, that seems “suspicious”.
He meant to say 11.19. But he still lying 😆
He definitely accidentally misspoke but he knows what he meant. To go from 11.35 to 10.7 is extremely suspicious. Humans can only do so much naturally
Naw. He simply made a mistake. He meant 11.19 and 10.84. Come on now!
