I have fitted the USB module and heater resistor to my van. Unfortunately my heater blower was too far gone, to the extent it was blowing the fuse each time I turned on the heater. I managed to get a new blower for £60 from Amazon and it works perfect on all settings 1-4. Cheers for the step by step videos. Great help!

Thanks for this video it was very helpful, I've just lubricated the fan bearings with spray grease and very pleased with the result, no more squeaking and rattling, long may it last!

Just done exactly this!! Great vid!! Mine did have some play but seems ok now it’s all back in, even if I get a couple more months out of it, I now know just how easy it is to replace

Was it an after market resistor that you fitted? Just going through the exact same with my T5. Also have some dim lights on the dashboard since! Not ideal

Great video thank you. I did the same and noise gone! Did you find a way to remove the fixing to the left of the hazard and cup holder ?

Re. greasing. I couldn't figure out how to get grease in with our getting it all over the place. Instead I had a go with bike chain lube - the bottle had a long nozzle to get between the fan blades and I just did a couple of drops at a time and spun the shaft to work it in. Did the same at the other end and it seemed to penetrate pretty well. Now, no squeaking! I have no idea how it will do in the long run but if it gives the fan a bit more life before replacement I'm fine with that.
This all started with having to change the resistor and ended up doing the blower and filter - a breeze with the big trim panel under the airbag removed.

My fan has developed exactly the same squeak today. Thanks for the video. But you didn't show the greasing! I'm not sure on that part.

Mine isn't noisy but its blown the fan resistor. Ive replaced the resistor and now it smells a bit of burning when i run the fan. Wonder whether to just replace it

How long did it last for after? Just trying to weigh up replacing or not. As it’s cold time of year and I have it apart as we speak
    Cheers for the info!
