- Follow along as I survive the worst commute in LA. Don't believe me? Just ask the Helpful Honda people, they made a Super Bowl commercial about my drive. I commute from Whittier to Santa Monica and back again everyday for work. Take a look to see how I make it through some of the worst traffic in the world.

My commute is 10 minutes. Thoughts and prayers are much appreciated.
You poor thing, I'll keep you in my heart.
I LOVE this! My commute is from whittier to Culver City so I FEEL THAT. 😂👏🏽
Thank you SO much Desiree! You GET IT!
theres no way it takes you 2 hours to get to culver city
@@pipiligrama9037 lmao! I guess you have not been in my car, in the morning, at 8am trying to get to work.
My commute is literally 10 minutes for 12 miles one way in the same city of LA 😅😮💨
OMG that is crazy! Where I live people fear a 30 minute commute yet alone the 90-120 minute. My commute is about 15-20 minutes during rush hour.
On my commute, I listen to a local radio show, abd it features everything from comedy to music, so it changes things up
Whittier Santa Monica 2+ hours? Whittier home > 605 Fwy >105> 405 >10 Fwy > Santa Monica Work?
“When I tell people about my drive, I get a few different reactions. The first question is “Where the f is Whittier?””
That made me lmao. I work at PIH and commute to Torrance. Luckily it’s not too awful.
Can you get a lower paying, shorter commute job?
Great Video!! I'm currently also living in Whittier but thinking about moving to Crestline,Ca (next to Lake Arrowhead) to buy a home. My current commute is 10 minutes :) (I work in Santa Fe Springs) but the Rent is killing me. My commute from Santa Fe Springs to Crestline would be 1 hour an a half each way so thanks for the tips. Something to think about.
Glad you liked it! Good luck with the move, that sounds super exciting :)
So,is there any chance you could use subway or any public trasnport instead?
Hey, great question that I get asked all the time. Crazy as it sounds I've mapped it out and it would actually take longer to use public transit. It would also cost more because I have a fuel efficient car so the cost of all the different transit adds up to more than my weekly spending on gas. For people who happen to live by a train/metro it might be better but unfortunately I don't.
@@averageaaron9127 I see, sorry for the situation, myself live in a big city with terrible traffic too, even though I own a car, I just rarely drive it,I take subway instead, have you considered moving to a house which next to the metro station? or this kind of house are more expensive than the regular ones. I Think LA goverment really needs to build up more lines in subway system,
@@midnighttrain7844 yeah I wish all the time that LA had better public transit but it's pretty rough. I have definitely considered moving closer in general, but actually on account of the current pandemic I'm working from home right now so I've had a really nice break from commuting. A silver lining in all the devastation. But aside from that I definitely know that it is an unsustainable commute so eventually I will have to work something else out just not sure exactly what that looks like yet.
You could literally ride a motorcycle and your commute would not be a problem lol.
How does it take you that long? Unless you don't want to switch lanes and stay on the right lane then I can see it taking that long; or maybe you take the 605 to the 10 all the time instead of using the 105 and 405 or even the backstreets? I live in Whittier too and commute to Culver City and the most it's taking me on my way back at 5:30pm is 55 minutes. Now, the drive home at 9:00pm is taking you that long? Definitely youre one of those people that sticks to one lane and watch the others lanes pass because are too afraid of cutting into traffic.
Lol, why are you so mad? You're not even the one who's doing the drive. Chill 😂
@@averageaaron9127 not mad, just pointing out the reason why your commuting takes so long
