My favorite part about the Lego movie was that you could 1 for 1 replicate everything with real Lego. Unfortunately the Minecraft movie didn’t do the same. This interpretation was pretty good for what can be done in vanilla tho!
@@CrapZackGames Even outside the frankly huge amount of Minecraft fanimations, they literally have _official_ trailers that are animated. Also, Story Mode an _official_ spin-off game exists and is also animated.

Looking at the world actually in Minecraft, it feels surprisingly nostalgic. The builds aren't uber detailed and beautiful, but I think that's the point. I think the design for the world is meant to emulate how a lot of people built in Minecraft and on survival servers. Box-like buildings with very little variety and detail, very simple block pallet, and random funny builds like the pink wool mound. It's all meant to scream that a regular Minecraft player built all of that, or a group of players in a world. Other than that observation, great video! You recreated everything from the trailer almost perfectly!
@@ThaMango1 Hey thanks for replying! I'm glad you agree with me. The overly boxy designs totally remind me of beta villages players would build. I would love to see the references the filmmakers used to come up with the world itself. I may not be excited for A Minecraft movie, but you can't deny the world doesn't look fire (within reason).
i would say one of the most jarring things about the build is the mud brick path, and i think it definitely could use texturing with packed mud, coarse dirt, or even brown concrete powder. also, in the trailer there definitely are flowers that could be added to give some color to the brown and green landscape. Other than that great!
Thanks for the notes! I really wanted to add some other blocks into the path for texturing, but unfortunately it looked flat in the images. Looking back, I probably should have anyway though! For the plants around it, I noticed that a lot of the color was actually mobs all around the map; I couldn't spot any flowers atleast in the image I was looking at
