Fantastic build. Imagine showing this to all the pioneers who were making Minecraft pixel art Marios and Pikachus in 2010/2011. This would have completely blown their minds.
he has been building this for the past 2 months.. and barely anybody liked and subscribed this guy needs some recognition asap 😭😭 he puts so much effort into his videos
Too bad the RUclips algorithm would rather encourage RUclipsrs squeeze videos into shorts or reach the 8 minute mark and refuse to stop scammers and trash flooding RUclips because it generates their money and if they acknowledge it, it makes them look bad and they can’t have that.
I know all the biggest builds people do are in hardcore, but recreating this classic Japanese painting in a 3d is astounding, even in creative. This is possibly my favorite painting, now it's even better.
as a meteorologist and someone who has spend a lot of time learning about waves-- im really happy you took the time to try and learn from those dudes lectures!!
What is great about this idea is, the reason I love this painting and others like it is because it is dot art. Now it is block art. I found it before mainstream media got it and loved the story behind dot art
I wish I was here sooner to correct this guy 10 seconds into the video. The Great Wave is NOT a painting. It is a woodblock print, a very important distinction. "The Great Wave off Kanagawa from Thirty-six Views of Mt. Fuji" was created by Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849) Charles Mitchell described this print as: "HOKUSAI claimed that all things in the universewere basically triangular or round. A careful study of this design will reveal that it is composed mostly of triangles and circles... It is also worth noting that the complicated geometrical pattern did not result in a static design but in one that is the very epitome of dynamic movement and actions." Excerpt from Ukiyo-E by Frederick Harris Ch. 7 pg. 104
I did not want this to come off rude, as the first sentence alludes to and I realize that. Japanese woodblock printing is just one of those things I love

this is insane dude, the amount of detail you go into and actualy study how waves work just for this is insane. as an artist, really good gjob, like honestly.
I've never played Minecraft nor ever watched videos on Minecraft. This was not only fascinating to watch; how you broke down and overcame the problems, but also the end result was stunning. Looks like I'm now someone who actively watches Minecraft content. Thank you :)
The amount of dedication put into the build was phenomenal, been able to replicate it every single aspect of the art that’s painted in 2D and you turned it into 3-D verse is insane.
I couldn't help but notice you missed the cloud thing in the background on the left of the wave. This is actually an awesome video though I love seeing stuff like this.
As someone who bases their life around this painting, this is amazing, even if I was anybody, it wouldn’t change the awesomeness of this. The dedication to this too. I can’t even build a good looking house 😭… Keep up the good work!!!
Omg!!! Amazing! I would never have the patience to do that myself. Btw, I think the "things" at 7:03 are people who are hanging on trying not to fall off or taking cover from the wave.
@@Eel_ damn, sorry. I didn't even realise you mentioned how long the build took at the end of the video. Honestly though great build, I love the 3D effect on it too. It looks really trippy.
Heya, so half-japanease artist here, the things you couldnt identify at 7:03 are actually japanease fishermen from that era, who are bending over the side of the boat. You can see black lines that are the eyes and mouth, and there are also two other black lines on each head, and that is actually the hair of the fishermen, I highly recommend looking up pictures of these traditional hairstyles with the hair on the sides of the head EDIT: nevermind he figures it out later in the video💀
