Dedollarisation could be the first important step towards ensuring products are not just made in India but are also owned by India. The consistently appreciating value of the dollar seems to be a big obstacle why US companies can spend more lavishly on future technology or are easily able to buy out start ups anywhere else in the world.

Same with me. The more I age, the more I become a centrist , simply picking and appreciating the good in all ideologies. In India we are being made to waste precious time and intellect by the media and politicians in in-fighting over absolutely useless issues. Rajiv ji’s insights about China has been an eye opener. We’ll find ourselves colonized by China if we don’t pay heed to his farsightedness.

Also I particularly like such conversations with knowledgeable engineers and writers living abroad , because they get a more neutral, world based view of India. I particularly liked that he said to re-elect the Modi government , so we have some political stability, but hold them to a higher standard. India is fortunate to have such a large younger population, and also who are conversant and fluent in English. Our English language skills are what give us superiority over China. Great interview.

Being a geopolitical geek and big fan of Abhijit Chavda sir I never really thought there could be a person with this amount of knowledge in various fields, got to learn about various things and most importantly it nudged the way of how we think, like Indian brains being rented out and us praising our IT giants has had already been there but never thought that the main advantage was enjoyed by the real owners, the real weapon of today’s generation relating it historical context just made it so much better. An eye opening part was the stature of China in the geopolitical world because as Ranveer said we’ve been listening that it’s India’s decade and what not, but the real power which China has got in terms of AI and quantum opening was something I never really even thought about. We need some massive, ground breaking changes to really stand up to China and US, and we need to start now in order to have any chance of staying relevant and powerful. I have always viewed China as sort of evil, and I still do. But you have got to admit that they outplayed everyone. There's no shame in copying your enemy it it benefits you immensely. Randhir, you are capturing me like a storm. I stumbled upon the first podcast of yours - interview with Dr. Jaishankar, not knowing that you have done a few hundred of these in the past years. Ever since I have been watching/listening to one podcast per day . I have covered the podcasts of Abhajit Chavda (one of his many podcasts), Dr. Vikram Sampath, J. Sai Deepak, Dr. Anand Ranganathan, and today Dr. Rajiv Malhotra. I do this during my evening walk each day (fully utilizing the Canadian summer).
Great effort and kudos to you Randhir.
