Dr.Vikram Sampath is truly an intellectual historian that India needed for long to relate her real history in modern times..There have been renowned historians like R C Majumdar, Jadunath Sarkar, V K Rajwade, Riyasatkar Sardesai and numerous others, but there work largely remains obscure to the young generation, so historians like Dr. Vikram (and also TRS) has a great role to play to mainstream the little known history outside the confines of the academic discourse.

Dr. Sampath is so spot on with the narrative of the north east and south india too. I have to say as an Indian from Darjeeling and my mother tongue being Nepali, I have always been told I dont belong to India and faced lot of this non sense in many parts of this country, such is the level of ignorance. I mean how many people in India even know that there are more nepalis in india than in nepal as a country itself. But still there is no identity for Nepali Indians, many of whom gave their lives for the freedom movement like Sahid Durga Malla. The Government of India needs to do something for the Indian Nepalis who are subject to constant questioning. Mamta Banerjee and Bengal has for very long violently supressed the voices of those in Darjeeling (having majority of Indian Nepalis) for a long time. Something must be done.

The Naval Mutiny is now officially called The Naval Uprising of 1946. We should also start using the same in our normal discourse and discussions. WOW !!!!Vikram sir second time on your podcast , so good to see. Thanks , Ranveer ! Bring more historians like them on your podcast , we love to see them :).
I've been listening to Vikram Sampath Ji and Sai Deepak Ji over the last month or so. Their indic perspective about Indian history be it Ancient, Medieval and Modern is absolutely scintillating and provides a whole new dimension. I myself being a history student and having come across authors life Romila Thapar, RS Sharma, DD Kosambi, their marxist approach discredits important aspects of Indian history which both Sai Deepak and Vimram Sampath Ji beautifully comprehend whenever they speak. And kudos to Ranveer for inviting such bright minds who actually care about facts and figures rather than blatant lies and misinformation about our history and geo political scenario in general.
So much Indian history in one show. Each TRS episode is so cultivating and intellectual. Hooked to watch and listen to more such TRS podcasts. More power to you!

In fact i look at the topic and the duration and watch. I get mesmerized with talks by Dr. Vikram, Dr. Abhijit Chavda, Mr.Sai Deepak, Shri M etc. are very very interesting and I sponge up all that they have to share. Thank you again.
What he said about representation for all the different regions of India is such a true thing. History textbooks are heavily centric to some regions while completely ignoring the other regions.
Excellent conversation. Dr Sampath is well informed and articulate. It is a pleasure to hear and read him. Like Dr Sampath I have the greatest respect for Dr. R.C. Majumdar-I bought the entire eleven volumes' magnificent 'History and Culture of Indian People' in the mid 1990s and read almost every volume from cover to cover. Dr Sampath is a chip of the same block of material that produced Dr. Majumdar. Hope to see him again in future conversations.
Most Odia know the history of our great architecture and glorious civilisation. We are taught in schools and we know who caused the damages to Konark and other monuments. As a proud Indian and Hindu I would like to learn more about other parts of India and the real history and want my children to be educated too. This summer vacation I have a list of books written by Dr Sampath and J Sai Deepak to read with kids. Thanks for spreading the knowledge and creating such engaging podcast Ranveer.
I also remember reading about veer savarkar in class 6 in our Odia books. And now that I think about it, its impressive learning about how stories of Veer Savarkar were banned or removed from public discourse all across India, but somehow it found space in our Odia books. I wonder when the story must have been inserted in our books that too in CBSE. I always remembered that story and the incidents it narrated but forgot the person it was about as it was just a story for me at that time as a kid. Later found that it was the story of Veer Savarkar. Also maybe a biased take, even though by looks our Odia books may not seem impressive, but they teach so much more than just literature than what English or Hindi literature books did though that doesn't mean the English and Hindi literature books were bad, just a subjective take.
Namaskar ranveer, i am happy that finally u r bringing minded people like j.sai Deepak and Sampat guru ji , please bring j.sai deepak more and dr. Anandranganath sir also

I would really appreciate if you can please mention somewhere about “Kerala Story” which is not our story. They are trying divide us make us fight with each other. Once Britishers did it now our own people are doing it. I feel really disappointed and saddened with these things.
Once again Keep going brother. Best wishes and Prayers to you for current and future endeavors.
I m glad to to see him again..he along with Sanjeev sanyal and Meenakshi lekhi is a slap to the nehruvian writers of concocted history that has been fed to the nation for so many years without asking or challenging the authenticity of source of those facts..it's high time we scratched those unexplored layers with the help of these gems.. Thankyou ranveer
Finally these voices are getting a mainstream platform. Minakshi jain, vikram sampat, Rajiv Malhotra 🙏 TNX
@@NipunJain-df4hh what's ur problem man 🤦
It is up to us, the young Indians to rewrite the true history of our glorious motherland. 🇮🇳❤️
I hope you'll get Professor Salvatore Barbones on the show the next time he comes to India. I saw his recent episode of Smita Prakash's podcast and was suitably impressed. Also still waiting for historian Professor Meenakshi Jain to appear on the show.. .
ranveer's impressions of a student going "i hate the indian education system" was EXACTLY how i reacted... felt like my whole life was a lie
Again opportunity to learn something new through this podcast
Thank you ranveer bhai
🙏🏻❤️
Excellent...Excellent and Excellent.....Excellent questions from you and Epic answers from the extraordinary talented person...totally enjoyed and want more on hard truths of Indian freedom struggle....and i want you to do some podcasts on South Indian Rulers like..Krishna Deva Raya, cholas, kakatiyas...Thanks for making us more knowledgeable Day by Day...Hats off to you Ranveer❤
I am delighted..you are bringing stalwarts one after the other like JSD, Dr V Sampath. Thank you so much Ranveer!!!
I will watch this podcast at leisure. I enjoy listening to Dr VS hence even if its repetition of information i would take my time to listen to him.
The Naval Mutiny is now officially called The Naval Uprising of 1946. We should also start using the same in our normal discourse and discussions. An outstanding discussion, like always when Mr Sampath speaks on historical issues. He brings a very mature, sagacious and balanced perspective to each topic. His deep knowledge and research are eye opening.
Their is something in his voice and the way he speaks .. you just wanna keep listening him .. VIKRAM SAMPATH SIR huge fan
with in the 10seconds of this podcast, i added this in to my history playlist. he is such an amazing person. and ranveer he is a knowledgeable historian than a trained historian. wish you make a more lengthy podcasts with meenakshi jain mam and sampath sir, abhijith sir, acharya prashanth ji.
good wishes to you and please don't cut the guests when they are speaking.
Loving the actual nationalistic based guests! JSD, Dr Sampath!
And Ranveer long podcasts are fire again! Let's goooooo🔥 we need longer podcast's especially geopolitics, politics, history
The thing that today's generation need is such more podcasts, that revolves around Fact and things that have never been talked in our so called history books..!! ❤

Truly gift for younger generations !
Vikram Sampath sir is the best as always 🙏🙏
Thank you for all the knowledge and hope to see you again !
We need more podcasts like these ❤❤❤
Wow! My Goodness. He speaks like a tape recorder in a very good sense. Knows his subject so deep. And the way he laughs at the references of Gandhi and Nehru says it all. 😂
Another very important and best guest.. now it's time for Aanand rangnathan
Thanks
Please call someone who can speak about Odia (Odisha) history. That was the territory that invaders could not conquer and that's why they have the biggest temples still standing tall and intact. It also has one of the 4 dhams and one of the best culture, cuisine, serene.
This was an amazing podcast. I learned about a different point of view to look at history. Thank you Ranveer bhai !
WOW !!!!Vikram sir second time on your podcast , so good to see. Thanks , Ranveer ! Bring more historians like them on your podcast , we love to see them :).
Wonderful podcast yet again with the wonderful Vikram Sampath 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Thank you for bringing people like Anand Ranganathan, Vikram Sampath , J Sai Deepak, Rajeev Malhotra , Abhijit Chavda
Kudos to team ranveer for giving us Blockbuster podcast every day.
Everytime i learn new information from your podcasts , Thank you soo much ❤
Thank you for watching ❤
@@beerbiceps bhai aakhein bandh thi, dekha nahi
Thankyou so much Ranveer for military and history podcast specially ❤️
Hi beautiful
Even as kids we adored Lal-Bal-Pal not Gandhi 😅
I’m from America. What does Lal-Bal-Pal mean?
So much Indian history in one show. Each TRS episode is so cultivating and intellectual. Hooked to watch and listen to more such TRS podcasts. More power to you!
A much awaited sequel to Vikram Sampath's last episode 💯🙌🏼
I really love history a lot!!! ❤..... Again thanks for giving us this type of videos🙏🙏🙏

It's so beautiful! Heard an entirely different Indian history ranging from 11th century to the modern times. Thank you Dr.Vikram Sampath for sharing your knowledge. Thank you Ranveer for these shows.
Thankyou for bringing him again Ranveer bro!
Sanjeev Sanyal ✅
S J Sai Deepak ✅
Vikram Sampath ✅
Dr Anand Ranganathan next ? 😎😎
Dear ranveer brother your content is amazing, its makes me all rounder😅. I am eager to meet with you❤
❤️❤️
Excellent conversation. Dr Sampath is well informed and articulate. It is a pleasure to hear and read him. Like Dr Sampath I have the greatest respect for Dr. R.C. Majumdar-I bought the entire eleven volumes' magnificent 'History and Culture of Indian People' in the mid 1990s and read almost every volume from cover to cover. Dr Sampath is a chip of the same block of material that produced Dr. Majumdar. Hope to see him again in future conversations.
Was completely engaged in this one and so felt it ended soon. 😅 Will like to see more podcasts having Dr. Sampath. Thank You Bro🙏
Ranveer Bhaiya please invite Sanjay Dixit Ji, Kushal Mehra, Abhijit Iyer Mitra, Anand Ragnathan, AKTK, Sankrant Sanu, Subhash Kak, CK Raju, Sangam Talk Speakers, Puneet Sahani etc etc
Once you start listening to Dr. Vikram, you can't stop.
Only odias from Odia medium schools. I didn't know about it when in school.
Awesome
Your state govt schools? Or, family knowledge??
@@charvaka5705 state government schools
Anandranganath sir also
I am really grateful to you , Ranveer, for bringing this kind of podcasts . I am recommending to my class 10 students to watch these because they already voiced the same doubts while preparing for exams. Please please bring out more.thanks a lot.
Please keep on inviting these learned men rather than Bollywood celebs and other significant personalities!
Thank you so much bhaiya for giving us always this type of great knowledgeable videos !!! 💕🙏..... That's really helps my study a lot!!! ❤☺

Dr.vikram sampath, what a bundle of historical knowledge ❤ I fell in love with his precision of knowledge
Thank you Ranveer, for bringing lesser known but much needed intellectuals, historians to millions of people... and thanks to Vikram Sampath for bringing us fresh aspects of Indian history which was never allowed by Congress government to teach us in schools! All thanks to such young minds doing hard work for us and bringing more realistic views of history
