My first go at a Necromunda miniature on the channel and I really like how it turned out! What gang do you play? Would you like to see more Necromunda?
Everyone gives their models leather bits....... why? And how? Unless... it's made of people.......and what is corpse starch? ...... omg warhammer is too grimdark!🍅😖
@@mutehowl you're probably right - unless they farm it specifically on agri-worlds. The fluff basically says that on Necromunda meat = re-processed human corpses
Some great tips here! I'd have been tempted to lay down a full layer of Skavenblight Dinge and wash with nuln oil before highlighting up. I think it would have created a clearer differentiation between the two blacks.
Great Video, would it be possible to get the full list of paints you used for this, and in future videos maybe add them to the description? I am just getting in to painting and have no idea which paints to buy xD
i don't even collect necromunda but had to watch this, I really like your highlighting tips as I often don't go thick enough on the initial highlight then wonder why I looks so stark. I'd love to see a video where you show how to shade things down and blend things together. I've heard of people using the contrast paints as glazes with some really nice results.
Excellent tutorial and your timing could not be better, I've just got a set of these myself and was wondering the best way to paint them. If you were open to suggestions, a tutorial on the Van Saar gangers would be wonderful.
Really enjoyed this video and your 'simple but effective' style has inspired me to tackle my own batch of enforcers! One question - i want to swap the Yellow for bright Orange - can you suggest which paints would replace the three yellows you used please?
Thanks for your kind words - and glad to have inspired you!!! Hmm orange is an interesting one - if you want bright then you could still base with wraithbone, then you are looking at Troll Slayer Orange as the base and Fire Dragon Bright as the highlight!
I'm gonna to try and recreate this for the rank and file troops. But my captain is going to be an Arbites. (Looking for a 3d Print sculpt for the head) and I'm making a coat using green stuff
Hi, great guide! I’m gonna get into Necromunda and will do my enforcers like this I think. One thing I don’t understand is how you primed it? Did you just spray black and paint white over the white parts with corax white?
Hey thanks for the comment - yes i do use the same brushes. I can't say I've noticed any degradation - i do wash them in Masters Brush Soap once a week though so maybe that helps

Have you read the lore from the new Necromunda Uprising? That is GRIM!
@@ThePaintingCoach nope I haven't but hello any ideas on what warhammer's leather is made from? My guess would be humans I think cows would be out.

Still digging this in 2024, about to get started on my models with this tutorial!

Thanks Ian - glad you liked it and thanks for sharing the tip!

They should be in the description - if I have them at the start of the video so you could pause if they go too fast - welcome to the hobby!
Watching in 2021 and hearing you get excited about passing 3k subs only to see you're now at 34k - nicely done buddy!!
Cheers Alex - I appreciate it! Been a mad 2021 on thay front haha!

Hi Nick - thanks for the comment - I'll see what I can do :)

Thanks for the comment - I'm glad the timing was right! If i get my hands on a Van Saar model, I'll be sure to do a tutorial!
Thanks! Just going to take my box of this guys from post :)
Let me know how you get on!

The Painting Coach that’s great thankyou - and what about the third yellow you used for the eyes?
You could try gryphhound orange with a white scar highlight
Great video thanks👍 how long did it take to paint?
Thanks - couple of hours - bearing in mind I am filming at the same time

Sounds cool

Yes essentially - you can also spray black, spray white and re-paint the black areas too
@@ThePaintingCoach Is the double spray preferable for any reason? I have corax white paint but not the spray btw.
Two sides of the same coin really - you can paint it on easily enough
may i please see the back of the model?
can i put his out there fantastic channel and very informative begging for a van saar painting guide
Thanks! I'll add them to the list 👍🏻
@@ThePaintingCoach fantastic the formatjust works keep up the amazing work mate
Thanks 👍🏻
Can I use Abaadon black or Maccragae blue instead?
For the armour
Do you prime with just a black and white paint like you don’t use a spray at all?
I prime with spray - so spray it black, then hit it from above with a white spray - hope that helps!
this is a great video
Thanks John! I appreciate that!
Hey chap. It looks like you use the same brushes for metallics. If so, do you not find that it wrecks the brushes?
Hey thanks for the comment - yes i do use the same brushes. I can't say I've noticed any degradation - i do wash them in Masters Brush Soap once a week though so maybe that helps
@@ThePaintingCoach might try that so. Thanks for the tip (no pun intended).
And thanks for the great videos!
No problem - glad you like them!
what brushes are you using?
I usually use W&N series 7, size 1 and 0
