She really is one of the most clever tributes ever.
I love Katniss' and Johanna's friendship. They are strong women and Johanna is hard on the surface, but deep down you can tell they both have each other's backs.
She is such an underrated actress. I’ve watched her career blossom since the 90’s movie, Stepmom. and I feel she should have became an A list actress as her skills are up to par with the rest of them. She’s so captivating on screen, she deserves more recognition.
Joanna was such an intriguing character, one of my favorites ever since I read the books. 8:18 minute of screentime for 3 movies is ridiculously low for a character like her. And she was greatly casted, what a waste of potential not to dive deeper into her traumatic past and further humanize her. I would have loved to see more emphasis on her, Finnick and Haymitch, their stories are so tragic and interesting and perfectly show how brutal Capitol is to their “victors”.

Her undressing in front of the gang wasn’t just to be cocky and weird, it was a show of power. Every tribute and person in the games are dressed in armor or something protective to a degree. However the moment she undresses it sends a message “I have no weapon, I have no armor, and yet you are still under my influence and my power” and that is how you know she is a strong fucking woman.
They did her so dirty she deserved so much more screen time like there was two parts of mocking Jay and they didn't go into anything really about her trauma like they did in the book I really do wish they had included the story about how she has ptsd with the water because it almost shows when she votes yes for the final hunger games it's kinda shows why. When she refused to basically get raped and sell her body of because she was popular snow killed her whole family and punishment she was put thru 2 hunger games and then she was tortued for months in the capital and became an addict like I think she had it one of the worst and she never got a happy ending she lived the rest of her life alone afraid servierly traumatised and with everyone she loved dead

The fact is the guy who played president Snow was her father in pride and prejudice and it made it even better for me, because they were amazing in both movies.

I think they should have put Johanna and Katniss training and living together in the movie to get ready to go fight in the Capital and Johanna failing one part of the test that involved water.
I wish we'd be told what happened to her after the war ended. I love Suzanne Collins' books, but she really messed up by not telling us what happened to several characters. I mean, my idea is that she returned to live in the forests of her district, teaching the new generations how to fight and trying to seek peace in her solitude. But it would be nice to have a canonical definiteive ending for her.
I heard that she did return to district 7 all alone, and she felt betrayed by Katniss, because Katniss promised to Johanna that she’d kill Snow but instead she killed Coin. She also got addicted to morphling and was left alone by everyone and with several traumas. So, her ending was tragic.
The fact that the scene with her stripping is realistic is hilarious because when they were filming it it was in a hotel glass elevator and residents of the hotel could see in so they literally all saw her strip too 😂😂

I love when Katniss says she's going to kill Snow and you see an actual moment of revelation in Johanna's face. Before that, they were just two girls that were being used and manipulated and everything was just a lie. In that smile she's like, "oh wow, this girl is really The Mockingjay. Who would have believed it."
It could be, but she was captured cuz she's one of the rebel. She and some other tributes were told to keep katniss save. Not to kill her but to help her survive and when she punched katniss, she took her tracker that's why katniss was able to be rescued.
I like Johanna as a charming crazy and resentful character because Snow took Johanna's lover and was killed by Snow. Snow was jealous and brought rich people to bet their lives in Hunger Gamer. In the past, the person who was booked was Johanna's lover. When Johanna's lover died, she began to realize who was biased in the survival game. She hated Snow. But the more she hated Snow, the more she hated herself. Although she looked like a crazy person on the outside and unfriendly, deep down she was a good person. Johanna likes to find friends to talk to. Friends are good for her mind. So she got the saying, "Not crazy, not stupid."
