You are the best cardiologist on the planet. I have followed your advice on healthy Ketogenic diet and One Meal A Day Intermittent Fasting, and as a result, I lost over 80 lbs over 20 months, reversed my pre-diabetes, my A1C dropped to 4.8, my fasting glucose 72, I reversed my Insulin resistance, hypertension and my stage 3 kidney disease. I was having hundreds of PVCs a day with a normal echocardiogram and stress test, my cardiologist prescribed Metoprolol 100mg, which didn't stop my PVCs. Only after I started my Keto and IF and eating one Florida Avocado a day, my PVCs vanished completely. Not even one PVC a day..my triglycerides dropped like a rock and my HDL skyrocketed. I lost my central obesity and I feel so energetic and I feel great. I walk over 50 miles a week, with 15 mile walk once a week..so thank you for all your advice. You prevented me from becoming a diabetic and improved my life significantly. I recommend your videos to my friends and family. Thank you. 😊

Not every country on this planet allows soda machines in the school cafeteria - nor do they have pizza, hot dogs or hamburger with fries on the daily menu, either...
I was served a hot, nutritious lunch (free for every student, paid for by everyone paying taxes...) every day - from first grade until I graduated from college.
And (as an example...), children with diabetes I (or other dietary needs of any kind...) ate a hot, healthy lunch tailormade to their specific needs.
In addition, the school lunch menu for the upcoming week was posted in every local newspaper, so that the child wouldn't have to eat the same meal twice in one day.
I feel very blessed having grown up in a society where I was taught that one eats to live - not live to eat.

I'm 40. Through my 30's I knew something was off but it didn't occur to me right away that it could be prediabetes. I don't know why since both parents had diabetes. The biggest indicator to me was that I went from being really strong to having almost no muscle. If I cut calories my muscle would be lost but the my bodyfat percentage went up. I'm off the sugar now and feel so much better. My food cravings are gone. I didn't just lose the sugar either. I severely cut back in flour, having bread or pasta only about once a week. I also way upped my fiber via things like avocados and whole grains and fiber rich fruits and veggies. I'm not going back.

I work for a provider FNP and she has a lot of pre-diabetic/diabetic patients. And I said, hey let me see if I have it. And it turns out that I'm 1 point away from being pre diabetic. So I'm making a drastic change in my diet. I'm also going to help my parents bc I'm pretty sure they are pre-diabetic!

What are the numbers for pre diabetic? Blood pressure or glucose. All this is new to me. My cholesterol is 135 that’s all my doc warned me about and said to eat cleaner. Any info helps. Thank you.

People get your insulin levels tested . Dr's don't test it.
I got my glucose levels tested for years and my sugar was always normal but I frequently had low blood sugar, various skin conditions and aggressive reoccurring yeast infections. Dr said I'm fine don't worry. 5 years later a nurse accidentally discovers that I have diabetes.
I decided to have my daughter tested and basically had to force the Dr to run the test and her sugar was fine. Test came back, she has hyperinsulinemia.

Thanks for sharing all this with us. My medical doctor has no clue what he’s doing. I listen to you and I know I’ve been given bad advice for years. I have my appointment in three days with my cardiologist because my autonomic system is going crazy. My fight or flight is in a battle with my rest and digest. I’m so all over the place, it’s controlling my whole life, and there is no help out there. I’m going to make changes in my life because of all the great information that you are giving me. Thank you so very much and have a wonderful holiday season. I have small nerve fiber neuropathy, it took 25 years to get diagnosed, and now it’s too late.

It’s not carbs, it’s high glycemic carbs. If you eat low glycemic carbs, then your insulin will never spike.
Low carb and keto diets will make you insulin resistant. Cutting out a whole macro group is stupid.

This Dr. Speaks the truth. By the time I knew my a1c went to 6.5. that may not seem high but for me it was. I had an mi at 43 and 2 more in my 40s. I wasn't even heavy. It was just genetic. My brother died of it at 54.i did get my a1c down to 5.2. I had no problems thru my 50s but I lost my 21 year old son 6 years ago and I lost control of the carb intake. Now in my 60s I am in need of open heart surgery. Pay attention to this doctor. I'm a CVICU practitioner. Everything he states is absolutely life saving info

Soo basically, when I was 13, I was pre diabetic? Cause I didn’t get diagnosed until I was 23. And I wasn’t overweight. Never been obesed. And my BMI was (still is fine). I was in the military when I got diagnosed. It was a shock to me. And currently, 15 years later, I’m still not overweight and I am still exercising !
