    I agree with you.
I don't want to change the extra parts.
However, it is difficult to judge this repair.
If I were you, I would replace the upper and lower outputs and try it.

Hey Mitch, what was the outcome after replacing just the fan? Agree it's a bit of a rip that the board can't handle the failure of one component. Hard one to justify the extra cost to the customer.

I replaced just the fan and it’s been working like a charm ever since. I made a video about it called “Repairing Mitsubishi Electric U8 Error”.

What should the resistance be on a GOOD Mitsubishi FAN (measurement in ohms)?

Well Mitch, lets hope all runs OK by just changing the fan, they sure make thing difficult for you, there's no way you could swing a cat in that tight work space 👎 Have a Happy and Healthy New year 👍 🍷

    Hello Mitch
Thanks for making all these great and informative videos. YES it’s like that song from AC/DC “Who Made Who”, was it the fan motor? Was it the PCB? Was it both ? 😂😂😂😂. Call up tech support and they’ll be reading the same service manual as you are!!!! You’ll be none the wiser, nor would they (they don’t know that though shhhh don’t tel them 😅😅😅!) Have a great new year Mitch. I look forward to more great videos and shorts!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🤩🕺🕺🌟🤡❄️👨‍🚀🤑🤪🥳

I know what you mean. It would be the safest bet to replace both the pcb and fan but I’m trying to help out the customer and reduce the cost. I only ring tech support to get information about units in not familiar with. Definitely don’t listen to them after I’ve received the information I need 😂😂
      Happy new year mate!

Check voltage between 4 and 6 when compressor starts running its the operating voltage for fan motor 1 volt to 5 volt dc and also check voltage between 4 to 7 is feedback voltage from motor to pcb card to tell pcb at how much rpm motor is running when motor is not in motion it's around 15volt dc but when it starts running voltage starts decreasing

So much Mitsubishi's! Personally I would've got Daikin systems instead.

I believe these motors have internal circuitry. It must have failed while the motor windings are still ok.

Sucking money out of user's pockets, what a Japanese product these days!!!, Why Japanese product aircon (Daikin...Mitsubishi, and Fujitsu, have so many problems and are expensive to repair? They can do better than that, or just not
