Training in Dubai | NAS Facility

  • A little update on training so far this year! We were lucky enough to be given access to the NAS facility which is a world class training centre over in Dubai - housing all of the training spaces and equipment we could possibly need! So follow along for a behind the scenes look at the amazing facility and what we got up to whilst there!
Unfortunately our training camp cut short due to new travel restrictions in the UK, but a good base has been built and we hope to keep the momentum going from home as much as possible!

Great video. I strongly believe that lack of pool access is an opportunity for most. Too often we get "stuck" trying getting better at swimming ... endless laps in a pool = easy road to burnout (coming from a former D1 college swimmer here). Bringing joy back to triathlon!

That looks like an absolutely amazing place to train! In the US I have sort of the opposite problem of most people. I have pool access through my masters team (they've done a great job with covid protocols!), but if the weather is bad I have no treadmill access, as gyms are open, but I do not feel safe in them.

Pulse Fitness Look at 4:09, power should go from butt/rear side of leg - that is the engine. If leg too stright it is not possible to use the engine and she maybe pushes with muscles above knee+calf, and that is very unefficient. Slightly lower position improves aero too ☝
