  • Revopoint is one of the leading brands in its class in 3D scanning devices. I have previously examined the Mini, Pop3 and Range models for different usage purposes and touched upon the differences between them. In this video, I will review the Miraco Pro model, which can be used completely independently without the need for a computer, phone or tablet. Enjoy watching.

    😮nice to know that miraco also hv difficulty to scannjng black object
    i own mini and range gen1
    still waiting for a product like miraco without android function, to make price lower, coz I never use mobile app to do postprocessing🤔

      Thank you for your comment. Yes, Miraco has a screen and operating system, which increases its price. I think a non-Android version would be good.

    I didn’t realize it was two different versions. Standard and Pro

      Yes, there are two different versions. I think 512 GB should be preferred for faster scanning and faster processing.

      @@3DPrintLab1 Thanks
      I have a Ranga and a CR Ferret.
      Creality Ferret was advertised as a scanner that was supposed to have the ability to scan Large/Medium to Small objects, but does a poor job of Large and small.
      I’m looking for one to handle all three
      without buying 4 or 5 scanners
      I’m thinking about buying one of these

    • @3DPrintLab1
      @3DPrintLab1  Месяц назад

      @@byronwilliams6532 Then I suggest you look into the Creality CR-Scan Raptor. I haven't used it yet, but I plan to review it later. This scanner can scan both small and large objects up to 2 meters.

      @@3DPrintLab1 sounds good. Right now
      I’m just doing my research on several scanners. What I do like about the ferret
      is that it is more forgiving that the Range
      or the Pop 2 that I previously owned.
      The Ferret will let you scan the same area
      of the point cloud and double it.
      I was able to scan to do a several rotations
      of a object without a problem. So for non
      of the Revopoint products that I used
      have been as forgiving

    • @3DPrintLab1
      @3DPrintLab1  Месяц назад

      @@byronwilliams6532 I've used Ferret too and I agree with you. Its scanning sensitivity is as good as the Revopoint mini, and it can also scan objects as large as the Pop3. Having only a wired connection is a disadvantage.

    Seems like you have to move very slow to scan. Does this have an issue with losing tracking or is it just slow to acquire data?

    • @3DPrintLab1
      @3DPrintLab1  9 дней назад

      When ideal conditions are met, it can scan quickly. However, if there is a lot of sunlight and the colors of the object being scanned are not very suitable, it scans slowly. For example, I had difficulty scanning a motorcycle.

    Whats the difference between the pro and regular one?

    • @3DPrintLab1
      @3DPrintLab1  13 дней назад +1

      Pro has 32 and the other has 16GB RAM. This difference affects the 3D scanning speed. I think Pro is a better choice.

    If you struggle with some darker objects, shiny objects etc, try dusting it with baby powder.
    A very thin layer of baby powder was 5x more effective than 3D scanning spray, even the spray that shipped with my Miraco Pro

    • @3DPrintLab1
      @3DPrintLab1  12 дней назад

      Hello, thank you for sharing your experience. Yes, I have used baby powder before, it is one of the effective methods. Only the spray is more practical.

    What about super small stuff like Jewelry? Does it handle smaller things accurately?

    • @3DPrintLab1

      I don't think it would be suitable for very small objects. I think Revopoint Mini would be more suitable.

      I cannot say that it is difficult to use, you will be able to use all its features within a few days. However, what is important is what you want to use this 3D scanner for. Because sometimes 3D scanners purchased for purposes other than their intended use can be disappointing. For what purpose do you plan to use it?

      Yes, however depending on which software you use, and your specs, you may want to bring the scan results as a STL into Blender or another app/software to reduce/decimate your geometry before importing to AutoCad or software like Fusion360.
      Lots of complex geometry chonks pretty hard in most CAD software.
