I do enjoy the squirrel hunting videos. They’re my favourite type of animal to hunt. It’s like fishing, sitting there, waiting, getting bored, and then the excitement of a bit of movement as you notice a squirrel coming in in the distance.
Dang we always just walk along a trail in a group and if we see a squirrel move someone either calls it and shoots it or we use a volley fire technique. And if your ever wondering if volley fire works trust me it does.
@Broad Side what did I ever do to you I was saying it was funny that you found billy fire stupid and your name is broadside which is literally just vollyfire, artillery fire in which the pieces included in the command fire the specified number of rounds as rapidly as is consistent with accuracy and without regard to the other pieces.
@Broad Side who said we weren’t aiming? If anything we want the squirrels to die as fast as possible, more shots just means less of a chance the animal is wounded. I am very respectful to the wildlife around me and only support humane kills, and I never waste a kill if it’s not a pest and eat it.
A masterclass in how it is done, as always ethical and sensible. It would be nice to see a camera shot looking back from the feeder to your position in the hide so we can get a squirrel's eye view. Nice work Matt
Another Great video. As far as silhouetting is concerned i cover my hides front and back with black weed membrane then camo netting on top which works a treat.
Great review Mat.Yes the squirrels were skittish, but they still keep coming.Fab job,and that gamo looks really good value for money. Atvb and Happy Easter! 👍🏻😎
Could you put a list of the equipment you use pls. Gloves, hat, face cover etc. I have struggled to find anything of quality that lasts. Great video. Thanks.
Those grey's being so wary was a gift to you. Why let the beggars have a last meal? Was the pellet going clean through the skull? The shot was coming with a hell of a clatter, I assumed it was digging a hole in the tree or the feeder.
As usual enjoyable video how close can you use the scope.l shoot from 6M to 50M FX impact MK2.177 sub 12 ft. I use prismatic12×50 which is good but the scope you are using might be better for distance, keep up the good video's away enjoy my Thursday evening
Hi Dave. I usually wait for them to take a peanut and start feeding as there is far less chance of them moving at just the wrong time. I don't tend to rush shots - I'd rather miss an opportunity than leave something wounded. All the best. Mat
@@theshootingshow when I'm shooting Bushy tails in the garden, they have learned the the sound of the window opening is DANGER and make a dash for it. Now if the are really hungry and are completely taken with the peanuts they ignore just a bit more but still...stealth is key for their keen eyes. I must give credit to our local falcon. She has taken several right off the feeder. It is an awesome site.
Hi Henry. Rich Saunders has some rabbit shooting in his slot on the Airgun Show coming out tonight. I also have a rabbit shooting video in the pipleline. Thanks for watching. Mat

What is it with idiotic airgun names over the years! Who are they trying to impress with such names, 10 year olds? C'mon AMTA - have a word with yourself.
Glad to see some break barrels making reviews. You are right, those squirrels were very aware

Nice clean shots.👍👍

Thanks Guy. Maybe we'll have to leave a camera running under the feeder to get a shot of the hide.
All the best. Mat

Sounds good. That would certainly fix it.
All the best. Mat

Great review, thanks Matt
Can't seen any of the Gen2 on that Gamo link you provided.
Innovative gun,deserves to succeed
Those grey's being so wary was a gift to you. Why let the beggars have a last meal?
Was the pellet going clean through the skull? The shot was coming with a hell of a clatter, I assumed it was digging a hole in the tree or the feeder.
Shot often goes through and hits the plate on the feeder.

Thanks very much. The Zeiss Conquest V4 focuses down to just under 10m.
All the best. Mat
happy hunting
It appears that the squirrels were definitely aware of your presence Matt, great video though.
I wish they would do an underlever multishot, that would be even better.
Any chance of sending you a new product aimed at the air rifle market. Not sure how to get hold of you?
Dennis
German glass is excellent, Zeiss is tops
I counted atleast 15 seconds after the squirrels sat still that you took you're shot why so long ?
5:43 That was lucky
What type of pellets are u using?
why do you take so long to take shots ?
I thought my WiFi had frozen at least twice 😅

Matt just a thought. Your BLACK muzzle suppressor is sticking out of the blind. When you bring up the gun to shoot they may be seeing this movement.
It's a good point but they were likely more concerned by our silhouettes. Something was making them much jumpier than usual, though.
All the best. Mat

I would love to see how we are doing in rejuvenate the red squirrel population, these days? Lovely shooting 🔫
How far was you shooting
What is the feed
How about a daytime bunny hunt, it is Easter after all.
Don't need a dozen kills, just good hunting.

👍👍👍
What about m3?
On the airgun show
@Broad Side yep, absolutely
We reviewed the FX Impact M3 in May 2021. Link to show: ruclips.net/video/Dy2RHFIFfQ4/видео.html
All the best. Mat
I don't know how you get those bushy tailed rats to hold still that long. I routinely shoot them at my bird feeder with a .22.
Wot bird of pray will take a Grey squirrel
Several UK raptors will take grey squirrels - just the their presence can put them on edge.
Show
Funny how manufacturers take the exact same gun and put three different names on it yet they are all still the same rifle
The wife likes your shirt she would like to know the make so she can buy one for me 😉
As Broad Side says, it's a Ridgeline shirt. Should be listed on the Ridgeline UK website.
All the best. Mat

Chudák veverka. Snad je to nějaký invazivní, přemnožený druh.
