I bought a 2004 Rubicon brand new for just under $27k at the dealership that was on the military base I was stationed at. Only option was air conditioning. I was living on Guam at the time, so I drove it around for about 3 years, put 22,000 miles on it, and sold it for $20k. While one of my favorite Jeeps is the CJ7, primarily for its barebones utilitarian design, I really do think the TJ is the best Wrangler ever made, as it combines that utilitarian nature with just a little bit of comfort and technology. You can still hose down the interior, but the coil spring suspension is a huge improvement over leaf springs, and it really was a fine daily driver. It's also the last Jeep to have the venerable 4.0L straight six, with which you can take off in third while idling. The Rubicon had some decent stock tires, but an awesome electronic locking diff and 4:1 transfer case for super slow crawling. I used to just drive down the road until I saw a spot to pull off and just drive through the middle of the island which was mostly just hills and jungle, and honestly for most of the hills I drove up, I didn't even need to engage 4WD. Super capable in completely stock form and a relative bargain, assuming you weren't paying the $10k mark-up that they were charging at the non-military dealership. Now, I didn't like the look of them at the time, but I wish I had, because the ultimate Jeep is the 2004.5/2005 Wrangler Unlimited, the long wheelbase version that DIDN'T have 4 doors. I really wish Jeep had made more of these, because they're like a Rubicon but better, in pretty much every way.

06 ford escape was built on the ford focus platform, and had the same mazda engine as the 2012 MS3. Ive driven an s2000 and I swear, the escape with 5 speed manual and Mazda attributes was an OG hot hatch that is super overlooked and could be crazy fast when turbo'd ( and lowered for saftety). Non turbo mine did 5 sec 0-60 pulls easily.
I used to have a black 2001 GSR with 4 doors and was fully loaded with leather and a sunroof I got used. The car was amazing and huge inside it was like an optical illusion. Sadly some dude in a 1994 Ford pickup took a left infront of me we had a collision at 25 mph and he just hit the engine right and totaled out the car. Probably one of my favorite cars I ever owned until I got my 2012 Ford Focus 5-Speed hatchback.
S2000 for sure I remember when they use to sell for 12k now there pushing 26k with 25kmiles. Evos also are about the same and appreciating in value too.
Boxster S 968 I give it a big thumb up because you do not need to put it inside the house and wipe it down every weekend just to look at it. Canadian point of view, none of those Japanesium metal car makes its life past 20 years in pretty shape... so it will be tough if you want to keep rx7, s2000, or gtr series. rust is big problem here. however their price is in mars already. that I witnessed.

@@Sheesh2376 the RSX type s is actually my next car i plan to own... especially because of the K20 motor and the huge aftermarket for it as it was anticipated to be a really popular car. I want to own so many cars tho 😆
Can we also have another list focusing on car whose value increased the most over time like McLaren F1 in current list
Love how you used stock images from top drives.
❤️🎀
I used to have a black 2001 GSR with 4 doors and was fully loaded with leather and a sunroof I got used. The car was amazing and huge inside it was like an optical illusion. Sadly some dude in a 1994 Ford pickup took a left infront of me we had a collision at 25 mph and he just hit the engine right and totaled out the car. Probably one of my favorite cars I ever owned until I got my 2012 Ford Focus 5-Speed hatchback.
Yo I remember that damn “you’re killing me Larry” commercial 😂

We all knew that the S2K was going to be on the list
In Europe the s2k is already over 15k
@@alexpause4729 A perfect one is selling for around 30k
@@DragSlicks in 10 years they'll probably be around 50 to 60k
@@alexpause4729 Oh yes most likely
S2000 for sure I remember when they use to sell for 12k now there pushing 26k with 25kmiles. Evos also are about the same and appreciating in value too.
I miss Up To Speed
where's Jeremiah going??
I'm "Pump"[hreyed] for the Tacoma Hi Low, yahhhhh
Every. Single. Ad. Is. EPIIIICCCCCC!!! Lol donut does such a damn good job at selling their merch, and whoever else they're partnered with.
I was sad when you finished number 2 because I was thinking "oh man he forgot the S2000." Totally thought #1 was going th be the 1st Gen NSX.
Day 18 of asking James to do an Up To Speed 🥺
💯💯
the title probably gonna change
So sad that it did.
what was it
What was the title?
@@TheNutshaq "the title probably gonna change" would be my guess
@@TheNutshaq something close to "cars that hold value good" or maybe "don't lose value good".
"He does not look good as an adult" LOL
Donut makes a video on value from cars bumps up the price by 20%😂
ahh man, i was hoping the clues for the next hi-low was leading up to 4 runners :( but tacos will be cool

"they had already cracked the pickup truck formula"
the only thing toyota cracked was their frames lmfao
I can't believe the Mitsubishi Evo 9 is not on this list
pretty much any evo 7-9 lol
Yeah those cars are crazy in price rn and will probably go up in value for clean stock ones
Or the STI... 04 to be exact
They never were cheap...
I love the evo 5
Boxster S 968 I give it a big thumb up because you do not need to put it inside the house and wipe it down every weekend just to look at it. Canadian point of view, none of those Japanesium metal car makes its life past 20 years in pretty shape... so it will be tough if you want to keep rx7, s2000, or gtr series. rust is big problem here. however their price is in mars already. that I witnessed.

Bought a mk1 tt for 4.5gs sold 2 years later for 9.2gs litterally doubled my money. Feels good man
💔
Funny cause I had a 2013 Honda Accord sport Manual and sold it 3 weeks ago to buy something that won’t loose as much value then this video comes up. Today I just bought 2004 Toyota Tacoma 4WD manual with 160,000 miles and just amazing condition inside and out for 7k best thing that has happened to me in 2020. Can’t wait for the Hi Lo tacoma
I’d love to see an up to speed on Infiniti, I hope donut brings back up to speed

THISSSSSSSS
Toyota Tacoma’s are badass! My uncle had one when I was growing up shit was sweet for a normal lookin truck. Really want a X-Runner version they’re sick af
4:47 lmao that was amazing, as a french I can attest to that statement xD
I love the set up it feels like I'm in class because he has the computer right there lol
♥️💯
The Fiesta ST is missing from this list. Was only sold in the US for only 5 years. It's a great driving car. It has great tune-ability. And it is crazy reliable. Buy the one with Recaro seats and you will have a classic/rare car years later.
When he says “100% of you arnt in the market for a McLaren f1” 🧐 what about all of us together
Il pitch in a grand
I got 1.25
I can't wait for a Tacoma edition of Hi Low :)
👺💋
I just sold my 2014 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited (JKU) with 78k miles on it for $23,500 to a dealer... whom now has it on the lot for $27,500. I was shocked how much I was able to still get out of it! Those Wrangler's really do hold their value.

My schedule has been ruined cause of it

I miss my gsr... I sold it, wrecked with an engine knock for 3500 years ago. Sold the fat 5 rims separately for 1800. Paid 1000 for it after my buddy totalled the body!
Donut: "Integra ... Acura's flagship coupe"

What about the 2003 acura cl type s. Its acuras rarest model and most people think the integra type r is the rarest model acura made
