Hello! I watched your video with great interest and have the following questions. Is the paint you put on the linoleum in the beginning a distemper paint for walls? What kind of paper are you printing on and what is the motif transferred to the lino plate with?
hi, the paint is simply white acrylic paint. im using japanese kozo paper and the transfer technique can be found here: ruclips.net/video/EmKVw72mm5Q/видео.html&lc=UgwwihS8dQOEBdL-YYB4AaABAg
amazing composition ! i try liquitex medium once but impossible to withdraw the medium after encarving, maybe acrylic paint makes it easier to avoid this ? did u have difficulties to clean up the lino after encarving ?
Fantastic video, your work is inspiring and addictive. Do you mind if I ask what is the white stuff you applied on the acrylic paint to transfer the image? and how long do you wait to remove the paper?transfer ?
it's by a brand called Forbo, sometimes it's called Best. i buy it from s shop here in Denmark called Aart De Vos - i don't know if they ship internationally or if you can get it somewhere else
it's the back of label/sticker paper. i have stickers with my logo on them that I put on the cardboard tubes i use when i ship prints, andi use the leftover paper where the stickers used to be 🙂
@@emilunderbjerg thank you for your feedback. You are one of my inspirations to do linocuts. Not sure if you're one that likes gifts, but I'd love to send you some of my prints as thanks for the inspiration. Just let me know.
First minute had about 10 secs of content, rest was filler. This is 19 mins long and part one. Thumbnail looks intriguing, but even at 2X playback I feel like this would take forever.
hi Michael, sorry you feel this way. i really enjoy making videos like this one, and the others in the series will be just like it. if you have any constructive feedback I'd love to hear it. thanks for watching //emil
Michael_M, perhaps this is a bit more ASMR than a lino print instruction, and in that case the 19 minutes that seem so endless, are actually the whole point of it? I find the sounds relaxing and the light falls very prettily in through the window, and the print is full of interesting details. And if you Emil like to make videos just like this, please go on. But perhaps add ASMR to the title or description, because you do that really well too😊
I am in awe of the size and complexity of your work. Bravo !
thank you, i appreciate it!
Really fine . Could you give a list of your material ( especially to report the ink on the lino) thanks a lot ; bravo c 'est super
Hello amazing work, was wondering if there is a specific software you use to section off the image.
It is always a pleasure to watch your videos...you are a master and your work is a big inspiration for me...greetings from Italy
This is shaping up to be a really interesting series! I also loved the scenes of the highland cattle - I got a bit of a soft spot for them 🤣
thanks for watching, and glad you liked the cattle as well 😊
I have never seen anyone shake shavings into a bag that way. You must be a magician. 🧐
tadaa!
i am so excited to see the rest of the process & the final result!!

What is that printer? Looks perfectly compact!
i am afraid i dont remember the model number

ii dont remove the liquitex, i just make sure to mske it as smooth and flat as possible when i do the transfer, that way i have to remove it 🙂

i use something called liquitex gloss heavy gel. i have a video that explains how i do it, it's on my channel if it want to know more!
Wow what an amazing and interesting video. Thanks so much.
Awesome Work! Thank you for sharing your process!
im glad you like it!
hi Emil! Could I ask you what kind of paper did you use to transfer the print onto linoleum?
hi Anna, i have a video explaining how i do the transfer on my channel, where you can see the whole process how i do it 🙂
What type of Lino material is that and where can you get it. All I can get is the huge 8 x 11 from Amazon.
it's by a brand called Forbo, sometimes it's called Best. i buy it from s shop here in Denmark called Aart De Vos - i don't know if they ship internationally or if you can get it somewhere else
Brilliant. Great piece. Love the video too. 👍
I'm glad you like it!
What is the white substance that you paint onto the lino? Is that watered down craft glue?
it's simply white acrylic paint mixed with water. i that because it's easier to see the black lines of the drawing on white rather than brown
@@emilunderbjerg oh thank you! That's a great tip. This piece is beautiful by the way. Love it!
thank you, I'm glad you like it!
Very interesting! What kind of paper is it? T-shirt transfer? It might be a stupid question. Sorry
it's the back of label/sticker paper. i have stickers with my logo on them that I put on the cardboard tubes i use when i ship prints, andi use the leftover paper where the stickers used to be 🙂
Er det bare akrylmaling og vand du primer din linoleum med inden du påfører motivet? :)
ja det er det!
Hi! How many man hours did it take to design and carve this approximately?
i didn't keep time of the design process, but carving took around 24 hours 😅
Where did you get a piece of linoleum that size? 😯🤔
i am lucky to have a shop close to me that sells lino in rolls 😊
Amazing! What kind of software are you using? Cheers
thank you! i use Photoshop 🙂
Where do they keep getting all that sticker paper from?!?!? 😮
haha, i use the labels for shipping prints and such and just save the backing paper
14mins... I see the cows are out. Was that Minchinhampton?
no, the cows live in Denmark 😊
Soothing.
Where is your laptop stand from? this video was so calming btw!! glad i found your channel :)
im glad you liked the video! the laptop stand is homemade :)
good job
thank you ✨
Did you water down the liquitex? If so, what was your ratio.
Thanks for your videos
I'm not watering down the liquitex, but you could try, de if it works! i would be interested to know if it extends the open time
