Great review! I loved my CloudMonsters, but I scuff my heel and the lateral side wore away in no time - do you think the outsole will hold up a bit better on these? Thanks

Off loading forefoot question. I am left foot neutral. My right is fairly neutral at ankle but I do seem to put extra pressure on to my right toe at toe off. After 6/7 miles it gets pretty uncomfortable/mild pain. (No breaks or fractures and same mobility as the left) could this type of show maybe help? Soon to be moving to double digit distances.

Thanks. I really enjoy your channel and I believe you guys will have a hundred thou subscribers very soon. I was one of the very first hundred subscribers. I was glad I had I found your channel. Now about this shoe. Would you say it is a stability high cushion long easy run shoe? Would it help you conserve more energy and run longer than let's say a shoe like More V4 or Nimbus 25?

Hi @Snowwalker9999 thanks for your continued support of our channel. We honestly love helping people all arond the world find the best footwear for their needs. Simple as that!
Its an easy day shoe thats for sure. This shoe has one of the most pronounced rockers (late stage) on the market. This automatically reduces the forefoot flex and reduces the load on release. I would say the Nimbus 25 is more stable. This is beacuse the Nimbus has a slightly broader platform through the midfoot, but the rocker is set back further in the Nimbus, which you dont feel as effortless on release as you do in the Cloud Eclipse.
The Cloud Eclipse has a really soft entry on the lateral side of the shoe. Not as soft as the MoreV4, which is really niche in its offering.
Cloud Eclipse would potentially be too much of a rocker for someone who has not experienced that category before. However for somone coming from Bondi, Clifton, More V4, and want more snap on a long shoe through toe off, then the Eclipse should be thrown into the conversation.
I hope this helps. If you ever need more detailed responses on footwear tech questions, please dont hesitate to contact service@sportitude.com.au and make it attention Josh. I will help you out.
      Happy Running
      Josh

@@SportitudeAus Thanks Josh I really appreciate your detailed biomechanical response and comparisons. I am coming from More V4.I really like it but i wish something about it was different. Maybe a little bit of Triumph 20/21 in it. Too many choices out there now. This one looks very appealing though especially if it has a pronounced rocker it might just be what I am looking for as long as the midsole does not die under your foot after a long run more than an hour. Cheers.

A lot of reviews on youtube so far have a negative thing to say about the lockdown of the upper, to say the least. I'm surprised that you say it's great. This shoe looks fantastic but not having a great lockdown seems to be a possibility according to at least several reviews. I wonder if it has to do with their feet, for example maybe it works for those with high arches and it really doesn't work for people with flat feet..just a theory.

      Hi @Kaisersozze,
Thank you for watching and sending through your question. You are right, there is always variances of opinion in this space. Me personally, I have a flat foot. This shoe fits perfectly. The volume through the forefoot has a little more space, and this allows the foot to lean into the rocker and not have unnecessary pressure on top of the toe box. The lock down which I am referring to is across the arch. If you make this too shallow/narrow, then the variability with foot shapes will find this to impact the performance of the midsole. Example being the Saucony Endorphin Shift. Excellent midsole execution, but the upper was not thought out (for most foot shapes) and making too tight across the arch. I would agree with some runners that find it to lack lockdown. We have two runners internally that have shallow and narrow feet. This shoe does not work for them. Endorphin Shift, or Asics Glide Ride 3 are much better options. The best thing about the running shoe industry…. There is a great service of options within categories. Fit, Feel and Function is all independent. Thank you so much for your question. It was one that needed to be tabled. Much appreciated.
      Happy Running,
      Josh (Sportitude Team)
