After installing the K&N cold air intake did it set off any alarms for low air flow or anything? I noticed with the K&N intake it you didn't have to install the aluminum tube in the PCV hose.
Yea I was afraid I would get some sort of check engine light or something too, so far it’s been perfect, I feel like sometimes it may be user error with installation, but I followed the installation directions precisely and so far so good
Installing a "cold air intake" alone without changing the throttle boddy or the tune does NOTHING to increase performance. the amount of air moving into the engine is determined by mass airflow sensor telling the throttle body how far to open. It looks cool, but on its own its worthless.

It takes about a 100 miles for the ecu to learn fuel air tables, not gonna notice a difference in 5 minutes.

so same intake just now has an open top. Maybe just cut the top on the factory filter housing?
What about the top that is open, isn't there concerns with heat soak and actually losing power?
The tubes on the factory set up were larger diameter would that not be better to feed the turbos?

You should of just put in a K&N drop in air filter. Not the cone. The Ford set up looks fine. Just the drop in K&N air filter.
Almost. K&N drop in air filter and afe intake tubes are money with those eco boosts.

I did this first then tuned the truck, Not sure if it even made a difference after the tune I guess you’d have to dyno it to really find out
what kind of tune is preferred for this type of set up?
