Not sure about a large scale apiary, but on a smaller scale, you can throw scratch feed down around the hive and the chickens will clear that grass right out.

I use 1 gal white vinegar, 1 cup salt and 1 tablespoon dish soap. Works great and I have not lost any colonies. Gave all my Roundup to my son 100 miles away.
You're right. You're not gonna expect anything in line of honey from a one package hive, but like you did 1 summer to show that it can happen when you put 3 packages into a 10 frame. Hi've you get abundance of honey, the first year? I just want to know how fast do they swarm when you put 3 packages into one hive?
David, Thought you mentioned in last years video that the main flow comes in around the Honey Suckle bloom in May? But you seem to be indicating the peak is here? Just wondering if you seem to be indicating the main flow is already here and we should not be feeding.

Old beer is good to add to the organic weed killer also!
