Because of you I feed my girls the same way. My hives are huge and this stops robbing. You have taught me so much since I began beekeeping 4.5 years ago. Thank you

Here in Northeast Tennessee the Sourwood is still in full bloom, but it won't be long.

Doing the same thing here in SW WA. I'll keep feeder buckets out like that to keep the Biggen's occupied, seems it helps keep then from messing with the Littlens. Ya I had my first feeding station in the wrong area to, it brought the girls to close to the house. 😮‍💨I would love a Fall flow, nothing but mostly dearth tell next Spring for me. Plenty of pollen but very little nectar for the rest of the season. Blessed Days David...

I've learned if u want them to stay alive and thrive you gotta feed. I use community feeder like u and my hives are growing like crazy,I also mix a spoon of peanut butter powder protein in the sugar water. Ive gone from 2 hives to 6 in 2 yrs just catching the swarms off my hives and I lost 3 swarms that flew off and all the swarms had there own queen. I wasn't trained and never new it worked like that ,but that's how I'm working mine. Not splitting, using chemicals, crushing queen cells and such splitting hives and making there home a disaster.naturaly God's way hopefully.

That trampoline pad makes excellence trash hauling cover on back of your P U. the wind don't get under it as bad as a tarp. Enjoy your videos

Man, looks like you had it rough down there in GA. We got a bit of rain finally and the clover started blooming again here. Plus they've been tracking in pollen from something, and it's not been from my pollen feeder. Hanging on by a thread I think here, but I've been feeding my smaller hives for a month now. The drought made it hard on the splits.

I understand you went and are in a drought, but why not plant buckwheat at the correct time for blooming to start at the beginning of dearth? I guess I just think buckwheat is a great dearth plant since it blooms for almost 2 months.

I had set out a feeder like this, and i didn't have the 1st bee on it. Well, i redone my syrp and took bees from each hive and dumped on the edge, and now their all over it now. Guess they were just lazy and didn't hunt too hard lol

What size holes you use on your feeder?

Use the smallest drill bit you have. Thats what I always do, I Always reach for the smallest bit.

Interesting, Dave but do you use (google translate) ''grain ventilator pelleters buckets' like in the Netherlands?
