    Lopez needs to skip a start. Since they have a sub .500 schedule 21 of the next 24 games, let him have a breather and see if he can return to form. His ERA is close to 5 now.

      I’m all for that. Bring up David Festa from St Paul and have him make his MLB debut.

      Lopez is a good #2 starter, the stress is getting to him. Honestly, you are able to see it in his face.

    Starters make more money unless you're Liam Hendriks. Jax and Duran still want to be starters too if you ask them. None of them will admit they prefer to be relievers unless the alternative is out of the major.

      That’s the reality. It’s either bullpen or be out of the MLB for some guys. Varland is at that point, he’s not a starter. If he wants to be in the MLB, he’ll need to move to the bullpen

    The Twins bullpen has no ability to stand up to a high powered offense, the only trades that should occur are for next year and prospects.

    Babe Ruth is still the GOAT of baseball. Period. He had more HRs one year than all but two TEAMS combined. He was also the best left handed pitcher in baseball for the Red Sox until he moved permanently to the outfield and who held the consecutive scoreless World Series inning record for 40 years. Declan you probably didn’t even know he was a great pitcher. Do the research!

      Da Babe did it in a time when a player that looked like Mays weren't even allowed yet. The level of talent in Mayd day was significantly better than that of Ruth. Ruth was great in his time. No doubt. He would have warming benches by the 50s though if that was the age he played in.

    • @Razorbacks1
      @Razorbacks1 3 месяца назад +1

      No way. Different eras but Ruth warming anyone’s bench in any era is delusional. He was absolutely dominant as a slugger AND a pitcher. Only Ohtani can do that and Ohtani is no Ruth.

      @@Razorbacks1 2024 Madison Bumgarner could strike out Ruth in todays day.. trust me on this one you might as well call a Boston Beaneaters player from 1895 the GOAT

      @@Razorbacks1 So... at one point in a Ruth argument is that he also happen to pitch well... in the same conversation, people will talk about how many homers he hit and this team or that team had less blah blah blah... Reality is... they had too many teams for the available talent in a segregated era. There were a ton of very very very bad ballplayers in the 20s.
      We are seeing something similar today we're teams can't find enough talent to field a quality team. Too many teams, too few with thr talent.
      Ruth was more talented than his era, good for him. By the 50s, the game had flow past him and all those other 20s and before players.
