Tommy James & The Shondells are a great American pop rock/psychedelic rock band from the 60's. They had a lot of great hits such as "Hanky Panky", "Crimson & Clover", "I Think We're Alone Now", "Mirage", "Sweet Cherry Wine", "Ball Of Fire", "Do Something To Me", "Crystal Blue Persuasion" etc. When Tommy went solo in the 70's he had a couple of hits "Draggin' The Line" & "Three Times In Love".
This song filled the dance floor at very L.A. dance club I went to in the 80's. I was amazed that a 15 plus year old song got such an enthusiastic reaction, more that any current song at the time. It's a great tune, my favorite Tommy James song.
This great 🔥🔥🔥 song was out in 68. Tommy James wrote this song.He got the title by looking out his hotel room in NYC seeing Mutual of New York, took first letter of each word. Many very good songs. Crimson and Clover, Sweet Cherry Wine, Mirage, Ball of Fire, I think were Alone Now, Baby, I can't take it no More. He's still performing in his 70s. I checked out a recent concert on RUclips, he sounds great. Also a very good songwriter. One example wrote the hit song Tighter Tighter for Alive & Kicking in 70.
This 77 yr old LOVES this song.❤
