I'm just saying, everyone is always talking about "budget boost" like you can just slap a turbo on and make 500 HP no problem. there's so much more to it. I am planning to do probably the first high horsepower Altima coupe, like 680 wheel horse would make me happy and if I spend 8 to 12 thousand dollars on the engine and drivetrain I wouldn't be surprised. If you're going to aim high you need the bucks to back it up. (I currently do not) Also, this guy could've spend $1,300 on forged pistons and H beam rods and never would've had a problem, anyone who has researched the VQ knows the rods are the weak point, basically the lesson is research your projects before you start slapping stuff together!
500 whp is pretty easy to achieve on a budget in alot of cars. Look at kyle from boosted boiz. His civic put down over 700whp on an h22 swapped ek civic. He spent 8800 dollars including the car. That was just rods/pistons and maybe valves and retainers. I get what you are saying, but there are alot of engines out there where literally all you need is a fueling system/big turbo and turn key ready to make 500whp. 2.0 tsi EA888 vw/audi fueling system good up to 450hp, stock engine good for 5. Granted it's already a boosted set up, but you see what I mean. K20's handle 5 to 600whp stock block j 4g63's 5-600 It's all about the platform you chose. You can do alot with a proper stock engine. I have a piggy back jim wolf would u recommend me using up rev
+ricardo jaramillo jr uprev does just fine for a long time but is not best tuning software
If you have a built motor (I don't lol, don't even have a car yet, just considering a g35) then would it be worth it to boost I've heard of 600ish horsepower with fully built and boost would that not be worth it? I mean it seems pretty worth it but I don't even own a car yet so what do I know
Why wouldn't 600 be worth it? I built mine for that I guess it's an opinion
So is being able to dailey a boosted 350z possible?
Michael Carrasco Probably, with a built motor and somewhat lower torque, you should be fine. Start really trying to push it and stuff will break.
Building my engine for my 370Z will that be okay to push 600hrp
T.House forge the internals and run maybe like. 9.1:1 compression
What bout the Vq35hr? You think it can handle 400whp
+sal v yep in my description I stated they should hold about 550 plus from my research
sal v look at fresh kicks two engines running 4 psi lol
Antony Nunez 1 engine
Lol 666whp stock all day
Should've bought a HR
+'Platinum' Joe Gold actually you are right lmao I should have but I bought this car long before planning on boost and turbo kits are a lot for hr
Do you have an Instagram
Engine self destructed at 8 pounds?!?
Yep at 130mph
350z can get good HP
same engine ya scrub
Turbonetics aren't good turbos. Should have got a greddy
+Austin Hampton they are plenty capable actually and it's all changed now anyway
Austin Hampton .
1st lol
+Project 350z thanks! Lol
I'm pushing 13 pounds of boost right now and planning to hit 18 pounds by summer with an E85 tune. Built HR motor, turbonetics, stage 3 clutch and many other mods already. wish me luck.
I want to boost my HR too, do you have single or twin?
