Audio vs Video: Which is more important

Video vs Audio....which one is more important?
Spoiler Alert it's Audio.
Though video is an very important part to a video. I mean it's in the name. Audio places a big role in the final project. Bad visuals can be annoying, but we can still enjoy what we are watching.
Where with audio if it's really subpar it can feel painful, like stubbing your toe at two in the morning on a box that you told your wife you'd put away.... but never did.
Another key point of good audio is, people are very distracted now a days and may not notice the visuals but will pay attention to the audio as they listen to it in the background, while working, driving, etc. So how can you make sure you have the best audio possible.
The first thing is to make sure you are as close to your mic as possible. Think about it as talking to someone, you tend to be 8-16 inches away from each other. You won't carry a conversation across the room, it would be too hard to hear. Work on eliminating any background noise, turn off air, make sure background music is off, and you are in as quiet an area as you can be in.
