Hi Paul. What you call the piggyback, we on the Gower call the double decker. Used to fish velvet swimmers this way because the crab are relatively thin.
Definitely your bang on day after storm is best most places for bass lures still big swells and water is clearing and bass are in shallows after storms, and definitely day after is very good for Bait fishing also. You hit on very good point there mate tightlines 😎🐟
Great sharing yer secrets mate. The pop ups do work I can testify had 2 fish 9n my first try. I always thought bass were too crafty but they don't care. Better to know yer baits still there
@@bassmansbountyfishing each end of the beach are reefs...have a look at low tide. Can be tricky to fish cos you have to drop in really short, but...can be VERY worth it :-)
Great video as always. Really useful information. One question. Is it possible to catch bass at the mouth of the river Erme on wonell beach? I’m staying in Kingston next week for a week. Cheers.
Yes but it’s extremely weedy atm and if you don’t have live crab forget it, try Weedless lure, if you can get lug try bigbury at the mouth 2 hours before low 😎
@@bassmansbountyfishing Hi Bassman! Thanks for the info.Have you ever fished the tidal creek that runs up the valley from Wonwell beach. It looks like it could be good for mullet and possibly bass.Cheers!
Which was are you facing though? Onshore or Offshore wind? I caught my PB from the shore during a full moon Big tide with an offshore wind, water coloured and hardly surf at all.
I never said you won’t catch, onshore winds 💯 👍 I’ve only caught big bass on lures on a calm night never had much on bait when calm in Devon I’ve had 5 doubles from shore all in rough weather 😎🤘
@@bassmansbountyfishing Yeah buddy onshore winds are best no doubt. Offshore wind this morning and flat calm all I caught were Flounder but still fun. Crabs have seemed to stop nibbling as much now too so that's a bonus.
Yet again, no need to say anymore. Paul one of the best I've seen. Be lucky
Cheers 🍻
