    Good info, thanks for sharing. Been impressed with Agon cases having one for a Pi4. This video has got me tempted to look at a Pi5 now..😂

    • @CaptainCommodore
      @CaptainCommodore  6 месяцев назад +1

      I love the pi4 version, looks better than this but the cooling performance is far better than the flirc with noise levels so low you could still use it under the TV for media

    Great looking case. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to seeing how the pi5 runs some emulation 😂

      @@CaptainCommodore I bet it will emulate the 360 and ps3 stuff really nice .. Youll have to let see it when youve got it sorted mate ..

    Thank you for this review. The Argon Neo 5 really looks like a great case/ cooler for the Pi 5. I guess, I'll have to order two for both of my Pi 5s.

    I have one. Putting on the thermal pads that come with it is a bit tricky. They are fragile and you have to peel off the stickers from both sides.
    Where as the standard fan from Rasp Pi foundation had the thermal pads already stuck to the fan, so you just peel off one side. No issue.
    You did much neater job than me in putting the pads on!

    What is the script to install and configure the fan anyone ?

    • @CaptainCommodore
      @CaptainCommodore  3 месяца назад

      I'm sure the fan is set to run by default

      @@CaptainCommodore ah well it doesn't with me the argon one case had a small app you could run to change what temperature it came on etc

    Probably the best active coooling case. I find the noise noticeable compared to silent passive ones I've used in prior generations of pi! For me, no moving parts was a huge appeal of this mighty little platform but alas, that era of SBCs look to be over

      If your not concerned about overclocking the flirc I tested in the previous video is also very nice..... and silent

    Good video, nice case. If i want to connect a bottom NVME HAT. Is there a gap for the ribbon cable in the case? I see somthing over the SD Card slot but im not sure if a ribon cable will fit.

      @CaptainCommodore  6 месяцев назад

      Will have a look when I get home, but I don't recall seeing a slot that would support that as at a minimum it would require a different base, may be possible to 3d print one though

    I'd like to buy extra thermal pads for the rest of the components. What should be the thickness?

    • @CaptainCommodore
      @CaptainCommodore  5 месяцев назад +1

      I'm not sure but they looked around 1.5mm , although if your slightly too thick it shouldn't matter as it will be compressed

      @@CaptainCommodore I got my Argon Neo 5 case today and was able to measure the thickness of the thermal pads; it's 1mm.

    very nice review, but I have question.
    Can you see the leds of the power and sd card dusy in the case?

    • @CaptainCommodore
      @CaptainCommodore  6 месяцев назад +1

      Yea , the power button is frosted so the whole button lights up really well, prefer the button on the argon to the flirc too

    • @MrFixer1983

      also when its reading the sd card?@@CaptainCommodore

    • @CaptainCommodore
      @CaptainCommodore  6 месяцев назад

      @MrFixer1983 the button does flicker red and green although it shines the green through more, I'm not sure that the green light is sd access though
