Great video as always. I pick up so many tips from your videos. Thanks.

You saw this coming when they asked you to keep your speed up. ATC frequently doesn't space enough and that is your runway when you get cleared to land. If I'm number 2 behind someone I'm expecting to go around if they are not down yet or seem close to me. It's the same a planning for a missed approach. That being said they could have told your plan on trying to exit at C3 well in advance, but even then they have to space better.

Really interesting to watch, I got some sense of what it must feel to fly into an international airport and the workload involved. Thanks for posting!

Some people think it's hard, but I think programming holds in the G1000 is actually pretty simple, and GA aircraft very rarely, if ever, will be given a complicated hold like 20nm south of the xyz VOR on the 120 radial... etc. Here's a good clip of the proceedure: ruclips.net/video/CCWn9S9CqMk/видео.html
btw, LOVE your vids. I'm getting ready to start flying a 42VI and these are a great inspiration.

Great job! Nice and smooth landing. For a while I was under impression you were below the glidepath. I was wrong LOL.

Great videos, always enjoy watching them. The go around may have cost money but the pilots still get paid for the flight time!

Wonderful video. Thank you for sharing and please keep them coming. Do not worry for the go around.....landing is fun, with the go around you get double fun...:o)

Great video as always! I wouldn't worry about the go around, that one was purely ATC fault, they put someone too close behind you, and didn't give you prior warning of where to vacate. Keep the videos coming, they're great to watch :)

Simon Coltman Thanks Simon, I couldn't see any fault on my part when I watched the vid, either. Still, going to remember to plan runway exit in advance at the larger airports (or everywhere, really). Getting off the active quickly has to be appreciated, whatever the circumstances.

jaunty17 Yeah, or just ask when you come on the tower frequency at the busier airports which exit to vacate on, i guess that might make it easier. I know here in the UK, (cos i work in atc) that sometimes pilots which are new to the airfield they are landing at, ask for the taxiway before landing :)

jaunty17 "vacate next left" may have been a more useful instruction.

Graham Davison cool! Turned out to be a fine flying day, even though the TAFs gave reason to be wary. My first time into Avignon Caumont. Hope you had a great flight!

Great video. Been watching quite a few of them. Is it your DA42? I do a lot of computer flight simming and after watching your vids have bought a DA42 addon to start using.

Great Video ! I enjoyed viewing it till the end... DA42 is a great aircraft. If you come to Brussels I would enjoy to fly with you as a copilot!
Congrats for you first holding pattern... but small question: did you correct heading & timing for wind influence?

Nice.Three interesting factors in this flight: a displaced threshold, speed to maintain spacing and ATC requesting to take the exit at Charlie, a close exit after threshold, to allow the flight behind to land....
    1) 1 st rule maintain control of the airplane. You landed and applied brakes to slow down. 2nd airplane went go around.... safe decision.
    2) Communication: I guess it's complicate to identify Charlie with a displaced threshold ... I would prefer that ATC requested a "short landing" indicating 1st or 2nd exit rather asking an "exit Charlie"
    thank you for sharing

You know the DA42-VI has such good fuel economy, you never have to feel bad going anywheres

Great clip, as always! Go around of "...125" was not your fault, but ATC's

berndl Thanks! Yea, I thought so too, but you always want to fit in smoothly with the pros, and hate to be a bother.
