Also, that Plesiophrictus sp. Kerala is from India so it's an Asian tarantula. Kerala is a state along the Malabar coast of southern India
showing the little slings and younger spiders is kinda nice and you think "ah that's a cute spider" but the last one rips you right out of that daydream. :O It's like they caught Spider-man and put him in this tiny box. What a beast. ^^
Hey, I've been watching your videos for some time now. For a while, it was because I find tarantulas fascinating and beautiful but never had the nerve to get my own. However inevitably, I finally got my first slings! I chose GBB and a freebie Mexican Red Rump. I've seen you make your own enclosures, so I was fairly confident in my own creativity and ability to also make my own. I've only had my slings for two days now, but I already have a new found respect for how calm you are with yours. My GBB is a bit skittish and made me nervous. Thanks for all of the inspiration and the time you take to make your videos! You're awesome!
Thank you to Kenya for all the amazing tarantulas for the Dark Den!! 🥰🥰🥰Your generosity is deeply appreciated!! "Petco" has worked so hard moving and🥵🥵🥵 making the Dark Den an awesome place for all of us to enjoy and appreciate these wonderful creatures🦎🕷🐸🕷🪳🕷🦀🕷🪲🕷🐚!! Thank you again!! The Skeleton tarantula (Ephebopus murinus.....do you know how hard that was for me to spell🤣🤣🤣!) looks awesome even at this young age!! I agree with Tarantula Kat😉😉😉....you needed this girl in your collection!! Have a wonderful day!! Happy Easter to those that celebrate!!🐣🐇🐣
Hey Petko, as they glow under UV, maybe you could try a scorpoin feeding video in the dark, then they would maybe be more active and happier to feed?? There are a lot of different substances that also apparently glow in UV which should not be dangerous for the scorpions, tonic water, ollive oil and honey for example, so you could maybe dip roaches in one of those so they would also glow?? Just a thaught anyway. Great video as always, cant wait to see what the two other small ones are.
Can we get a vampire crab update soon? Maybe a feeding video with some variety of foods and time-lapse to see what they like best, would be really cool! They were so pretty when you got them ive been waiting to see them again. 😁
Your cyclosternum schmardae will need more substrate. (Yes I know "more substrate" is a meme kind of) trust me, we got one too and it burrows more than an ant. It made a huge tunnel network in its enclosure
Great video, Petko! You're gonna LOVE that E. murinus. I bought mine as a SAF, and she's one of my favorites. A new world that looks and acts like a fossorial OW. Quite beautiful... and has quite the attitude.
plesiophrictus sp. kerala is an Indian dwarf tarantula sp. They are found in the Western Ghats region. I was lucky enough to observe these guys in the wild. They were observed living under rocks in relatively dry areas. Males are really small maturing out at about 1" dls while females grow to about 2" dls.
@@dorabrooks76 it was absolutely minute! Smaller than Petkos one! Slings are delicate anyway and not all are destined to make it but it’s silly horrible to lose one!
@@dorabrooks76 I won’t be getting anymore slings as they aren’t the cheapest but if I happen to come across a juvie or adult then I may be tempted lol! I have 171 tarantulas altogether so I’m not exactly short on them lol!
First thought when that sling bolted out of the container? "... If that was me, it would be GONE, I wouldn't find it until it got big" xD I love your videos! They're one of the absolute highlights of my day :D
Very nice video... Like always 😍 And it was also funny 🤗 Thank You Petko for spending Your time with us and make all this great and interesting Videos 😘
@ThePsycho is right... We got our C. schmardae in a mystery box and never heard of them and sadly there isn't much information on them either so we kinda had to figure these species out ourselves 🙃
I have about 50 tarantulas in my room, mostly slings and juveniles. I don't need any more spiders, I've hit my personal perfect number and I'm not buying any more, but I miss unboxing. Thanks for sharing your new spiders with us.
Hi, i love your channel very informative and enjoyable. I wonder with so many species why don't you give the new arrivals a larger enclosure or a new starter home. I can't wait to see you next video's...Thanks.
back before I lost my entire collection, I had purchased three ami sp panama and received them at that same size that you received yours, within days of receiving them all three were dead. I don't know what's up with that species but they make truly beautiful adults so it's extra sad lol.
Question for Petko and other hobbyists: How do you care for such a TINY sling? I've been in the hobby for a few months now, and my newest sling (Philippine Orange Tarantula/Orphnaecus philippinus) is so incredibly tiny, I'm not sure the best way to feed it.

i love the unboxing videos. It would be very cool if you would add a picture of the adult spider when you unpackage small slings.
The flute sound when the sling starts bolting like crazy killed me 🤣
Despacito is just showing that he always has the high ground
Salute Chairman Kim! ∠(^ー^)
"It s over Petko, I have the highground"
Thank you Kenya! What a sweet gift you gave to us all. ❤
i DID not expect those adult males to be so big when the came out of those tiny boxes! lol
Trjjlr is coming Hmmmm m I’m
Those last two Pokis were a lot more chill than I expected them to be. Also quite large. Glad i'm behind the monitor!

Ornithoctoninae sp Hon-Sej when?
The fuzzy male is the fuzziest tarantula I’ve seen wow haha
Yeah that thing was super cool@
Then check tliltocatl albopilosus nicaragua. Those are ultra fuzzy.

It’s amazing to me that tarantulas can be that tiny as babies.
Very interesting specimens! Definetly wasn't to learn more about the one with those Fuzzy Legs!!
Thank you so much, Kenya! That was so very generous of you to share the joy with everyone else!
This makes me wonder how hard it is to move the spiders into the mailing tubs.
I always wonder this when unboxing spiders or watching videos like this

Always happy to see more Omothymus in the dark den. They're my favorites.
Lot more sassy little cuties for the den. Looking forward to seeing how they grow.
That was a fab haul. Looking forward to seeing the slings grow.
2:51 it says "Kurzhaar", which is German for short hair ^^
Man some god setup for paladarium two big branchers and in the middle a gold web orb spider or also called the bird catcher
spider paws are soooo cute, you can really see them on the last sling
I looked up the last one. Super cool. There another one to, blue fang or Ephebopus cyanognathus. Looks beautiful

5:50 Kerala is in India so it’s a Asian tarantula, well that’s what I think cause idk how they label them but I have family in Kerala
Nice unboxing 👍🤘...have fun with ur new spiders! 😁💪🤘
Hey Petko. "Kurzhaar" actually means "short hairs" in german.
Loved the cameo from Felix and the scaly boys! Made my Friday 19x better!
MAN, what a haul!!!
Sericopelma sp. Boquete had me 🌚
it's crazy after looking at the slings moving to the adults, like WOAH they be huge!!!
First one has damned pipe cleaners for legs :)
Ami sp. Panama is now called Neischnocolus sp. Panama! I had a tiny sling but only lasted a couple of weeks! I have I think five of the others shown!
Sorry about your sling. Such a beautiful tarantula, but the slings seem like they are maybe really fragile, judging by your and Petko's experiences...
