@@Tekillyah He or she means the owner of the flat he or she lives in does not allow to keep them. Not that he or she him/herself fears he or she is not able to keep them well. :) But maybe some dwarf species are easier to hide.
Is it really necessary to ask a Landlord to allow a spider?
I mean, you must ask for a big dog ( at least in Germany), and for snakes. But spiders?

Personally I watch a lot of animal youtubers and I have to say that you probably have the best husbandry I’ve ever seen. You keep them so well, setting such a good example
I know your comments are two years old, but I really really hope that you have discovered "Dave's little Beasties" ?? Petko admits he's all about the feeding video but DLB is all about every aspect of successful humane husbandry of all species of inverts... I love Dark Den too, it's successful in it's goals, as is the channel I've suggested.. 👍😃👍.. and I don't like to use a Channels outreach to promote another, that's not cool, but I read your comment and thought you'd both understand and even appreciate the tip, cos if you're all about the inverts, you'll both forgive me and totally agree with my actions.. 👍

I love that you still use cd enclosures! I made 2 for my 2 avic avics. And cut the tip of my finger off tonight making 2 for my pterinopelma sazimai and brachypelma albopilosum since they've outgrown their deli cups! Thank you for the amazing idea. They're so simple to make as well!*
Hello Petko! Few tips i learned for seladonia keeping: make sure you have some lichens on the corkbark, since this spieces builds (which is very important) a nest from lichens, pieces of bark and moss. Everytime you feed her, give her a little sprinkle of water and keep a waterdish in enclosure. Cheers!

I love your vids. I am beginning my journey in a year or so when I move to a larger place where I have a bigger room to start having tarantulas and other exotic pets but mostly tarantulas :-). Your videos are sone of the ones i use for information and are very enjoyable to watch as well. I have such a passion for the hobby and i have always wanted tarantulas, they are such amazingly beautiful and amazing creatures. Thank you so much for everything you do.
What amazing gifts! Seladonias are difficult. A friend had one die as well. Found out it was probably due to his lack of misting the enclosure for the few days following a moult. His second one has done much better thus far, he just makes sure to keep the enclosure misted down during an after mounting. Absolutely gorgeous species the “Brazilian Jewel.”

I love watching Petko unbox and interact with his denlings. The joy there is just contagious. Its to a point that I, an arachnophobe, am making sounds of adoration at these little slings.
I have unboxed yesterday my first tarantula. It is a harpactira pulchripes and I am so happy with it. I know that old world tarantulas are not perfect for beginners but... SHE IS SOOOO BEAUTIFUL. Thank you so much Petko for inspiring me :))

One thing that might be neat to try on a custom communal enclosure would be a short tube connected to the side, with two small sliding "doors" in it. You could use it the same way an airlock is used on spacecraft, and it would make it easier to get multiple spiders in without the risk of them all running all over the place.
Theraphosinae sp panama originate from Panama and it's a rare species in the tarantula market. This is a dwarf species tarantula which their adult size is around 4 inches including legspan.
Typhochlaena seladonia - a spider from the tarantula family. The species was described in 1841 by C. L. Koch. Occurs in Brazil. Due to its bright and colorful coloration, it can be easily recognized in breeding.
Aphonopelma crinirufum - Juvenile: 3 - 4 cm, Sub-adult: 6 - 8 cm, Adult: 12 - 13 cm
Adult size: 4 - 5''(12 - 13 cm)
Temperature: 72 - 82℉ (22 - 28℃)
Humidity： 60 - 70%
Feeding: Mealworms, crickets, cockroaches
Chilobrachys sp kaeng krachan - GROWING CONDITIONS
Defensive and fast species, most common form of defense is attack or flight, no stinging hairs, strong venom.
Terrarium: For an adult 30x25x30 cm (underground species)
Temperature: Optimally 25-28ºC during the day with a few degrees drop at night. They also do well at room temperature.
Humidity: 70-80%
Substrate: coconut fiber, peat. In the terrarium it is good to put a bowl of water and a hiding place, a piece of bark.
Food: crickets, cockroaches and other invertebrates.

Heteroscodra maculata - snow tarantula, one of the most popular spiders in farms. In nature, it occurs in the western and central parts of Africa. It is a fast, jumping species and has one of the strongest venoms among tarantulas. It grows up to 5-6 cm in body length, the leg span reaches 14-15 cm.
Cyriopagopus schioedtei - a species of arboreal spiders from the tarantula family. The species was classified in 1891 by Tord Thorell.

Yep.
Honestly shouldn't be a big problem. They're a defensive old world, but they're a fossorial speicies. In the wild they have like 2ft+ burrows and the size that exotics has should be kept on at least 8-10 in of substrate. But he had that big beauty in a kritter keeper. If given an enclosure where they feel safe, there won't be as much fuss when you do things like change water unless the T is looking for food.
Nonetheless, it's for youtube. And an angry spider is entertaining compared to a calm dirt hole. 🤷🏻♀️
They are different, but pretty similar. His O-shioedtei are more like the "Thailand black" from exotics lair. Used to be hapolopelma sp, but they changed things around awhile back. The kaeng krachen is chylobrachys. They don't get as big, but in my opinion they are by far the fastest. My 1st bolt escape was my kaeng krachen I bought on a whim.
Its funny how reactions will always happen, its whats kept us alive for centuries.
