Ibram X. Kendi's arguments would not be torn apart. Debaters like Coleman Hughes, Candace Owens and Glenn Lowry are rightwing grifters and sophist race merchants. Why even debate them? Ibram Kendi's positions are not just for show. He is out to make real and positive change.
So he preemptively accuses you of strawmanning him, then denigrates your proposal with an appeal to authority (re: faculty memeber comment), and despite the proceeds going to a cause he'd, presumably, be a proponent for?
Instead of all the excuses, he could have just called himself a coward and kept it moving...

Coleman would probably rather be referred to as a thought leader than a cult leader-- that's exactly what he's challenging. Or we could just call him a bodhisattva; he's hanging back on our behalf, waiting for us to catch up to him.

And that the more centrist or practical one's views are the more an opponent is tempted to wade into the waters of misrepresentation and strawmanning -- especially if that opponent is acting in bad faith.

But with reading the book (I know a person can write whatever they want), I had the impression that he is working on his own racist behaviors and acknowledges them. But there is a difference between words and actions, and as I said, I don't follow his social media carrier.

You are brilliant, Coleman, as well as calm, considerate, and sincere. And I think it is quite telling that Kendi is unwilling to face you. He is a charlatan, and just conversing with you would certainly expose him.
James Lindsey has written (on the site New Discourses) an explanation as to why people with these views (as in CRT, and wokeness) won’t debate. Reading that made me really understand on a broader level, and see perhaps why I always got the answers such as “educate yourself”, and that they won’t do that “emotional labor” - frankly just “sit down, shut up and listen”, when I was asking questions or wanted to have a discussion or had another opinion or point of view (especially since I’m not American). I can recommend it and I’ll link it here.

Summary: "Debate me!" actually means "Debate me based on logic and facts!" which is a problem since logic and facts are to be rejected in favor of emotions and social justice. So by accepting to debate they automatically lose.
