Thanks for this video, this was exactly my problem...i touched the inlet valve and all of a sudden i saw several drips of water....i was about to tear the dishwasher apart looking for a leak when I found this video....huge time saver and an easy $15 fix for a new water inlet valve!
I had the same problem. Did not pinpoint the leak as well as you did, but had moisture in the same area. My solution was to turn down my intake's water pressure at the sink. Washer works fine now. Some of the Bosch manuals call for installing a narrow inlet hose that is supposed to be provided. We didn't get one and it wasn't part of the parts listed in the box. Turning down the pressure seems to have corrected it. The down side is there is low pressure at the faucet and almost none when the machine is running. May invest in Bosch's hose if that becomes too annoying. For now I'm happy the machine is working.
Alas, this was not the problem for me. I have replaced the circulating pump/heater (not that big a job), the float and float switch, and the inlet valve, and still there is a leak. While running the dishwasher, I noticed water coming down the drain pipe that is in the center of the front, suggesting that there is a door seal leak. I replaced the door seals and got one good run before getting another E-15. The only source for water to come into that drain pipe is from the front of the cabinet, so I took off the front of the door and ran the dishwasher again. It was clear that this is the source of the water. Now, I'm trying to figure out why the new door seal isn't working. Dishwasher repair is becoming a hobby. Thanks for the video!
Thanks Eddie. My lovely and talented life mate thought the worst when she saw me laying motionless on the kitchen floor with my hand stuck underneath then washer.
Thanks for your time . I am chasing the same problem. I have come to the conclusion that it comes down to very bad design. The side tank gaskit doese NOT seal the side wall effectively. The access to the workings of the machine are pitiful. Buy our wounderful product.. don't forget to throw it out in 5yrs and buy a new one
@@kevinmorgan4234 actually no! It turned out there was a hole in the drain hose. But I would never have found it without this video to show me how to find it. I ultimately had to pull the dishwasher out and disassemble the hose cartridge on the left side of the machine. I luckily have a great parts store in town that had the hose so I even fixed it in one day. I watched another video for that. I love the people-helping-people aspect of RUclips. This all saved me hundreds of dollars.
I think if it is occuring during a full cycle then that sounds like a leak is only occuring when the dishwasher is running. Which might mean a poor door seal, hose, or valve. My suggestion would be to try and run the dishwasher and see if you can see where the water is coming from. When you do find the leak I can tell you it will totally make sense as to what you are looking at.
I just found a semi regular drip in exactly the same place , and even after combining over the part's manual I couldn't see the part was called the inlet valve. THANK YOU! I really appreciate you making this video. Do you have a video explaining how to replace it? Or is it pretty straightforward? Thanks!!!
If it's not easy to see into your dishwasher and you are getting E-15 codes (when the dishwasher isn't running) you could try turning off the water at the shut-off and see if that extends the period between faults. If the code continues at regular intervals with the water off you can rule out the clean water check valve.

I just found I have the same leaky valve! I checked and my dishwasher uses 00628334 as well. Did yours run ok after you replaced it? Also, are there any resources that show how to replace it? Thanks!!
Yes my dishwasher is running well now. I believe one of the appliance repair sites has an instruction video. It also was a pretty straightforward repair but you do have disconnect the electrical and water and access from the back of dishwasher. Good luck.
Thank you! Exactly the same problem. I would not find it without your video.
Glad you found the video useful. Swapping out the part isn't too hard or expensive especially if you can access easily.

Glad it helped. I remember the same feeling and thinking it was going to be big job too!

Exact same problem with mine! Thank you so much for taking the time to make your video. Saved me huge $$$ in hiring someone to look at it.
Gah! - my exact problem. Thank you for this video! The leak has been driving me crazy.
I just had the exact same problem. Thanks so much for this video!
Well done Kevin. Intermittent drips are the worst kind to find!
Thanks Eddie. My lovely and talented life mate thought the worst when she saw me laying motionless on the kitchen floor with my hand stuck underneath then washer.
Great video. I'm having the exact issue as yours. Now need to figure out how to fix it...replace the valve? Thanks for sharing your experience!
Thanks Kevin. Saved me a bunch of trouble.
Thanks for your time .

Genius!! Fixed my own dishwasher!!
That is great news! Thanks for letting me know. Was the leak at the same place?

@@CoachJackie_Make_Good_Choices which video was helpful for you to diagnose the origin of E15 issue?
Good detail. This was very helpful. Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Awesome video. Exactly the solution I needed. Thank you!
Thanks for the comment. Glad you were able to diagnose where the water leak was coming from.
Thanks to your video, I found that I have the same leak. Any chance you have the video used to replace the valve?
Good job! I'm getting an E15 but only when it's on the full cycle. On the half cycle no error code. Appreciate any troubleshooting suggestion. TIA!

Brilliant and well documented!
Prosit!
My Bosch dishwasher (SHE55R55UC) wouldn't stop draining (even with the door open) and gave no error code. This was exactly my problem. Thank you!
Thank you soooo much!!!
Thank You very much.
Thanks man I just dried mine out and put back together to see how long it takes to error again once it does I will check out the valve.

Do you know what the part number or name is?
Part number is 00628334. It's called a valve access. Runs ~$17 on the Bosch website: www.bosch-home.com/us/shop-productlist/00628334
How can i order that part in Canada?

The little piece that was leaking is called? If I wanted to order one. Your video was very helpful! Thank you!
Sorry for the delay Adam. It is called a water inlet valve. It is basically a solenoid
Can you please advise what the part number is?

Спасибо. Полный отраслевой анализ наличия запчастей и всех возможных причин появления воды был вне моих возможностей.
JUST TILT YOUR MACHINE OTHERSIDE TO DRAIN DOWN THE WATER WHEN IT DRYS UP INSIDE ...PLUG IN BACK START AGAIN....HOPE IT WILL BE BACK TO NORMAL 😊
Great video. Excellent help
