Nice! Very professional looking after it was installed. That winch will come in handy for getting unstuck and pulling trees off the trails too. Thanks for Sharing!
Ya, no more pushing!
Nice work Fearless, love the new addition to the tractor!
Sweet! Them sears are very Heavy and getting one out being so sank might be a problem. I just finished a mechanical winch that runs off the engine and uses a gearbox and sprockets/jack shaft. I love it!
Nice job of mounting the winch sweet little beast you have built.
I've bought quite a few things from Harbor Freight. Been pretty happy with them.
Like the install, very clean and you wasn't kidding on how tight it fits. Also liked the clear tubing on the power wire, I got to remember that one. Here's an idea for your dash wiring, solinoids and switches. The clear tubing made me think of it. I had to run new wiring for my jeep so when I got to the fuse box I made a pexiglass fuse box which was 1/4 thick clear pexiglass. Very easy to use and design with this stuff.
ya, if the dash fills up with any more stuff, i'm gonna have to make a switch panel
dude there is no room for hope on you doing a good job on intaling this thing you always do a flawless job on any thing you make or build and the things that are a plug an go like this winch you always seem to make it just a little better then it was intended great build man
Thanks man! attention to detail usually pays off in the end
The separat tractor is one of the coolest tractors i ever seen
Really nice job, very professional install. And the bumper looks so badass!
Fearless, I installed one of these on a buddy's ATV, all I did was wrap the hell out of that circuit breaker block with electrical tape. Simple and easy to replace if it blows, and also helps protect the terminals from corrosion. The only complaint he has about it is the duty cycle, but it works great. I've actually been going to harbor freight a little bit more often, they're cheap tools but they have some good warranties and the quality is better.
ya, I noticed the warning saying don't run it for more than 45 seconds... But really, in 45 seconds of winching, I imagine i'd be unstuck!
Consider getting an oscillating multi tool. I have a Makita one which has performed flawlessly.
Never thought I'd use it much. But actually I use it ALL THE FRICKEN TIME.
Such a time saver particularly when cutting through plastic.
Another very well made and edited video. Thanks Fearless....
Great job, looks awesome!! Definitely a must have for an off road mower!!
Love my 2500 # badland winch mounted it to my 300ex going to get one for my mud mower. Love your vids.
So the winch is completely water prof and that is awesome great instalment
take it on the trails in the spring when it warms up,the snow melts and mud gets deep get it stuck so you can use it actually use it. my winch is a 2500 pound traveler winch.
I love your videos and you have inspired me to build a mower, I'm going to pick up two engines tomorrow
If you wanted to try it out sooner, you could always take the tractor out and get it stuck in the snow. Granted, snow's not as sticky as mud, but it's still give you an opportunity to test the new winch.
Great job fearless, looks like a factory install
awesome vide dude!! just bought a 2000 lb winch tonight for my Alabama crafstman lt2000.. keep tha ass kickn vids coming!!!
keep up the good work. I have an old Sears I want to build up now.
AWESOME install !! Folk give HF winches a bad time but I have one I have ABUSED .. and it still work just perfect .. ! Good vid thanks ..
Good to hear! thanks man!
Makes it look tougher that things a beast
That looks awesome, fearless! good job man.
Looks good! Your winch sounds quiet compares to the badlands 2000 we installed. You also have a mounting plate and remote, ours did not come with them.
Been waiting for this one. That mower is turning up swell.
Fearless I just done a pully swap on a wizard took the 8hp off put a 14hp twin on went with a 6 inch on front and back and put some 23x9.50 13s on the back and 18x8.50 8s on the front swapen the trans out and pou a 6 speed spicer
Fearless I have no clue why but I watch this video anytime I have time. And it's summer so I have a lot of it. And I love your videos. And I think I watch this so much is because I am going to be getting a 2500 badland winch. And I just get tips and tricks on how to mount it. So thanks
Cool! Glad I could help! It's been a good winch so far
big winch with a big riding mower....cool video bro
Badland is very good i have 2000 on my atv i used it for my friends 600 pound atv throught a rockcrawling section and i use it to lift a plow
I like the New install great job!
cool brush-guard and winch
nice install fearless, waiting to see a vid of that heavy beast being winched out of a mud hole
Nice job for sure.
My thoughts for improvement would be to add a drain tube for oil changes. Put remote plug in front of unit. This way its closer to where you need it. And a tow hook in the front for snach blocking. Other then that id say looks sweet.
very nice indeed :) great buy for the price I might make a mechanical winch for mine though something like the mud king but has a few differinces
Nice job showing this install, thanks
hey fear they make a rubber tape by 3m. U could use that on ur wireing block works real good.nice job on the winch btw. cant wait to see it in action :)
if your winch don't work here is a tip when you the cover of the winch ,(if you had the winch outside in the rain or whatever it might be rusty) put some wd-40 rust speaclist on the brush and the coil for overnight and dry it over night again, then you put some gasket sealer on the cap of the winch to be waterproof and the winch will work again(unless you burn the brush up) it work great for my 2500 and 3500 pound winches.try this if the winch fail 90% sure it should work :)
you did a great job looks awesome
When things look like they came factory installed that way you know you did a -h- of a good job!
Haha! true! thanks man!
Nice, good install. I heard also that those winches are pretty good for the price.
hey T-Man check out the test of the winch video I did the other day after I put mine on my new build. Mine is only 3000lb so I can only imagine what Feerless's is gonna do
Ya, me too. A lot of people like them more than warn's and such.... Kinda surprising...
Fearlessfront Hey Fearless, huge fan I was wondering what would be a good welder to start out on. Im only 14 and don't have a lot of money, but everything I want to do on my mower needs a welder. Any recommendations?
Liam Quigley get a cheap wire feed welder from harbor frieght, and put lincoln electric flux core wire in it. it should be ok for mild steel. You can pick up one of those welders for less than $100
Hey just wanted to say thanks for this video. I just picked up one on those winches for my UTV. I did an unboxing video of it and linked to this video. Hope you don't mind.
thats cool, thanks man!
Great video mate, just found your channel and will be watching it from now on! a stainless steel exhaust would look great on that tractor!
Got a harbor freight winch for my 71 case,it's 2500, but haven't got it on yet lol
Awesome job!
Very nice job !
hay fearless.great video what about engine oil drain plug access with winch installed

Clean... Nice job!
GREAT install!
I plan on making exact same thing kind of Lamar and plan on maybe eventually one day again against with you guys and not having a little fun round around
awesome install man...
Built this thing into a beast!
ps. I like the new bumper supports
Looks awesome!
Hey fearless. I have the same winch but its only a 2000 lb winch and only paid $50 on sale so thats awsome but, thats for my next mudding tractor build similar to your sears its a 1965 102 cub cadet that was my pulling tractor. Hopefully i'll get some updates on it but cant wait to see that winch work!
what in the world is a winch?!
Oil pressure guage added? what's that coiled line coming from the engine doing? cool build, watching the whole series, rock on man.
Looking good, man!!!
Sweet video, do you resister your tractors?
You'll be upgrading that battery next! Good stuff!
Should be fine, new last summer, 420cca.
If not, I'll go to dual batterys
Fearlessfront
i would be more concerned about the charging system. i am familiar enough with motorcycle and ATV systems to know that too many accessories can really put a drain on the basic systems they come with...i can't imagine what the power generation components on a lawn mower could handle. especially if you put a big draw on it from a high-amperage device like a winch. i don't know if i would trust the stock alt on my B&S opposed twin.
rtabish well, if it did kill the battery, it still has a pull start to start it up, so I wouldn't be stranded. And I bet after 10-15 mins of mid to high idle driving, the battery would recover. The charging system on this motor was a little better than a briggs, this one has a voltage regulator built in, and the whole stator is dedicated to charging, unlike a briggs, which has half dedicated to the headlights. At least most I've seen are that way.
It's not gonna keep up with the winch, but neither would an atv charging system.
Looks real good
Good job on winch vid - my winch came with a wireless remote. Which is nice, but the remote is not water friendly.
you would think they would make them waterproof. But they probably hope you'll break it, and have to buy another one from them. Thats the way the world works
Fearlessfront How true
With that winch u should be able to pick up the whole mower off the ground. I picked up my jeep and hung it in the air with a 1200lb badlands
super clean
Looks awesome
Does your rear engine mounting holes on your diesel hang over the back of your frame if so can you make a video of how you mounted your engine. Thanks this would really help me!
you need to put some led headlights on that like the ones put on the Murray.
I plan on it. It would look a lot better
very nice cleen install good job!!!
Thanks man!
looks badass!
hey fearless why don't you spray paint the plastic tubing to hide the big yellow wire
Sweet! God job!
Great job.
Have you done any vids on dual exhaust? I'd like to see something like that
Thanks for sharing
Alright idk if u know anything about Yamaha rhinos but we got a winch for it and even when the key is turned off the winch is still able to be used would u know how to fix that
Todd. Out of curiosity, what do you do for a living? No need to be specific. Love your videos!
Awsome just got one myself
great vid and install
I'm thinking about putting a winch on my Ford mud mower once it's up and running.
you made me think about getting a winch for my truck! Im gonna end up spending all my parts money on a witch lol
Hey fearlessfront I love the videos you post and I am in the process of getting a mud mower. Once I get it I will be posting videos. But mainly I was asking if you could send me some fearless stickers.
That things sweet man
do you need to have an egnition on your tractor for the winch to work.
Awesome thanks for that info!
good job man your awesome
That thing is a monster
great job you're un-stoppable now
GREAT JOB AS ALWAYS FEARLESS. YA MY #1 " MOW WHEELER" HERO YOU MAKE IT ALL LOOK SO EASY FOR SOME ONE LIKE ME WHOM DOESN'T HAVE A WELDER OR KNOW HOW TO WELD OR KNOW ANY ONE WHOM DOES LOL POOR ME
Thanks man, I appreciate it!
any time BOSS MAN!!!!!!! LOL
I like the video very much there on it was pretty sick
+FearlessFront (Todd Christopher) why did yo raise the grill for the winch or motor i have a different type of sears and going to buy a disel
great job
Looks great. I'm about to lock my transaxle and was wondering how that effected your steering.
danny marrel it's not bad depending on what you got for tires and where you ride if you running pavement it's not the best but off road it isn't to bad I run a diesel sears ss12 with a locked 633 in it and I also have a craftsman with a locked 820 and with them both locked I won't run anything off road unlocked
@@jeremy_238 that's good to hear. I have a ss16 with ag tires on back and 3 rib tires for steering. I'll be plowing and dragging limbs and such. Just trying to improve on what traction I have. Thanks for your response.
You should put headlights on it now
Could you post a video on how you installed the Diesel engine and how you made ur throttle cable set up I'm going to buy one and I wanted to set it up like yours thank you.
I just lined it up, drilled hole through the frame, and bolted it down.
Try this for some ideas on the throttle:
Sears Suburban DIESEL First Drive
I'm putting a winch on my 76 sear ss 16 thats bad ass looking
Can you think about making the sears 4WD
Hey fearlessfront. I just got the other day what looked like a good tractor. It has atv tires on the back and bald tires on the front. The thing is it was junk when I got it home. I fixed the body problems, now im into the hard work pulleys, belt tension and what not. But before I go any farther I want to see if the motor will go, guy just rebuilt the motor. I need to know how to hook up the throttle, choke, and gov all together i think i might be missed springs or something. This tractor been missing alot of parts. Hope you got an old mower you can do a video on.
Your best bet would be to find a similar motor to check how everything assembles, or at least a picture of the governor linkages. That's not something you want to take a chance on. I can't tell you how it all goes together, there are too many different configurations depending on the manufacture.
nice install
Hey fearless you should get some PLASTIE DIP. It comes in a spray or you can get a can and dip stuff. It makes a rubber coating and is good for water proofing electronics.
I love that stuff, I used to dip my tool handles in it.
Have you ever thought about flipping the front axle and putting the same size tires in the front that are on the back?
That would be cool, but as it is right now, the tires are pretty close to the motor, or the winch depending how it's flexed/turned. Bigger tires might rub. I may try something like that sometime, just gotta put some limiters in so it wouldn't rub.
Good idea though!
nice job
*Nice Work!! A Little Overkill, But I like that!!*
Haha! thanks, thats how I like thing built!
